𝗧𝗿𝘂𝘀𝘀 𝗛𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗲 | 𝟯𝟰𝟬𝟬 𝗔𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝘀 𝗖𝘁 | 𝟲–𝟵 𝗣𝗠
RiNo Eats kicks off #ArtRiNo weekend with a 21+ tasting experience featuring 10 RiNo-area restaurants, plus live music, art and entertainment throughout the evening. Sample dishes from participating restaurants while checking out a historic neon sign exhibition presented with Save the Signs, catching a live DJ-and-band set from Golden Bell, and taking in pop-up performances from OddKnock Productions and Circus Foundry. 𝗘𝗗𝗘𝗡𝗦 𝗟𝗼𝘁 & 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗳𝗳𝗶𝘁𝗶 𝗚𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘀 𝗔𝗹𝗹𝗲𝘆 𝗮𝘁 𝗗𝗲𝗻𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁 + 𝟮𝟳𝘁𝗵 & 𝗟𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗺𝗲𝗿 | 𝗢𝗰𝘁 𝟮–𝟰
Two live mural projects will be happening right next to each other throughout Art RiNo weekend. At Denver Central Market, 𝘁𝘂𝗸𝗲𝗼𝗻𝗲, 𝗲𝗺𝗶𝘁, 𝗠𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝘃𝗲𝘀, 𝗔𝗱𝗱𝗲𝗻 𝗝𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗲, 𝗖𝗵𝗲𝗹𝘀𝗲𝗮 𝗟𝗲𝘄𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗸𝗶 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗣𝗮𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗸 𝗞𝗮𝗻𝗲 𝗠𝗰𝗚𝗿𝗲𝗴𝗼𝗿 will create a new mural together over the course of the weekend, while artist Jeremy Burns and collaborators restore the iconic Larimer Boy/Girl mural just down the street. Stop by throughout the weekend to watch both projects take shape in real time.

RSLNT PPL and Worldview bring an evening fashion showcase to MAE’S, featuring a 6 PM runway presentation alongside a pop-up shop and vendors. Happy hour begins at 5 PM, and the event is free and open to all ages.

Falling Away from Prime invites reflection on how we each understand time, memory, and personal narrative, exploring the spaces between defining moments of our lives, be they triumph, loss, growth, or decline.

@wmaxthomason is a contemporary painter whose style encompasses both realism and abstraction. He currently resides in Denver, where he is curator and owner of @bitfactorygallery @bitfactorystudios

The story behind the Art: Working in the entertainment industry introduced me to people the world envies—celebrities, executives, and cultural icons who appeared to have everything. Fame, wealth, influence, admiration. Yet behind the polished exterior, many carried immense loneliness, anxiety, and pain.

This piece was born from that contradiction.

The gold rope represents the polished image we present to the world: luxury, success, status, and beauty. At first glance it feels elegant, almost celebratory. But as it twists, knots, frays, and unravels across the canvas, it reveals the emotional weight hidden beneath perfection. The red background symbolizes the intensity of what often remains unseen—love, sacrifice, trauma, passion, and wounds that continue to exist behind carefully constructed identities.

Like a beautifully wrapped gift leaking pain from within, this work asks a simple question:

How often do we mistake someone’s appearance for their reality?

This piece is a reminder that every person carries a story beyond what is visible. Sometimes the brightest lives conceal the deepest struggles, and the most beautiful wrapping hides the heaviest burdens.
