⚾️“Don’t Gaslight Me!”💔 Is OUT NOW on all streaming platforms!! This EP has been brewing since the depths of lockdown, and encapsulates President Ruby’s personal coming of age story, each song mirroring the stages of grief. Please enjoy some deep cuts from our last year or so. Now President Ruby will take it away:

“I think growing up is just a slow acceptance of grief that accompanies the shattering of your childhood innocence. The realisation that the world isn’t fair, and that all the adults around you are winging it as much as you. Being a minority adds even more complex layers. Its like as I explore and come to terms with my own mental health, I realise that I’m not just holding my own baggage, but the weight of my ancestors; and at the same time realising how universal these feelings and being human really are. That’s the real joy of releasing music, is realising that I’m not alone in these feelings when people tell me they listen and relate to what I’m saying, it makes everything worth it.“

Thank you, dearest members, for all your support. Thank you.

TETWITHVIETQ #6: JADE LEWIS’S RED TẾT

Let’s welcome @punkpeony the lead singer and songwriter of @clubrubysucks - a New Zealand–based, Southeast Asian-led pop punk band.

For Jade, red is Vietnam: her roots, her culture, her resilience. She’s dyed her hair red since she was 13, and over time it’s become a constant reminder of where she comes from.

In 2025, one of her most meaningful moments was returning to Vietnam to film the music video for “What My Bones Know.” Shooting on her homeland while visiting her mom and hometown made the project feel deeply personal.

Swipe to read her full answers and step into her Red Tết.

WHAT THE PHO What My Bones Know IS OUT NOW!! 🍜🦴✨🇻🇳🇹🇭 this song is given to you with love by three Southeast Asian immigrants, written by your President @punkpeony Vice President @spicyhondog and produced by @christiantjandrawinata

The original song came out in one day, with tears between takes as we poured our hearts into lyrics that touch on how it feels to be torn between cultures, losing touch with your native tongue, being far from family, and feeling the weight of trauma that turns out to be baggage from your ancestors.

Inspired by the autobiography by @foofoofoo of the same name, I hope What My Bones Know makes you, and your bones, feel less alone.

Produced, co written mixed and mastered by @christiantjandrawinata

All hail our publicist @itssamanthacheong

Made with the support of @nzonairmusic

If you’ve made it this far, stay tuned NEXT FRIDAY for the music video drop!!
