here are some great things that have happened to me. I won’t lie, there were some that I really wish didn’t happen. I feel ashamed a lot and I feel like with learning a new passion, it helps me grow and feel okay with my own disappointment. so heavy. I’m up late feeling so… hard on myself. I love things and people and food and art and music. It’s hard to know you can’t take back what has happened but it’s nice to know you can create new things that will help you build yourself back to the person you know. Not everything is an instagram post. this helps me stay strong. it’s not always so easy. stay well my friends. by @punkspunk

Well, here it is… my first pop up. Gilly’s Sunday!
I can’t begin to tell you how nervous I am to share my love of food and connection from outside my home. Over the past year, I’ve grown to find such comfort in trying different things and praying for the best. You never know what actually works until you try it but with a little more refining and precision, I think I’ve got something really interesting to offer. I have decided to dedicate my first pop up to my grandfather, Juan Manuel Alcala. He was born and raised in Oaxaca, Mexico. He led a life with strength, integrity and a love that grew from his heart into all of ours. I love and miss him dearly. I came up with something that celebrates the favors of his upbringing and the joy of his presence. He once told me I could do a million things if I wanted to, just to be sure I was good at every single one of them. So hopefully this rings true. I invite you all out to join me this Sunday, July 12th @palomino_satx. Thank you to @danyull_nasellibjj for making this happen. We’ll start at 7pm. Make sure you grab a tequila or mezcal to sip on!
And yes, I had to throw in a little punkspunk with the flyer!🌽 by @punkspunk

🚨 🚨 🚨 Gilly’s is back this upcoming Wednesday July 22nd, thanks to my friends over @wavroom_ ! 🚨 🚨 🚨
It’s the ultimate OCEAN X VOTION collaboration and I’ll be serving up my Albondigas starting at 9pm while I dance to Frank Ocean all night. 🩳🧡🦺🐱🍑🟧

If you missed my last pop up, it’s your chance to come support my new adventure. 😇
Grab some food and some cold drinks from the bar while you hear your favorite Frank song. 🎶
I think Frank would like my albondigas, who doesn’t like Mexican Meatballs?
