Because you asked:

It's just a bit of wood (40,5cm length) cut in half.
A 150mm chest hinge, and a chest latch to prevent it from collapsing when working under the bike.

When attaching the latch to the wood, make sure there is about 0,5-1mm space between the pieces of wood so it can lean through a little bit.

The next version will be slightly shorter and have a small v shape on the head so i can put it under the swingarm instead of on the nut. by @puppyonabike

Grindavik. When lave entered the town.

During the dramatic volcanic eruptions of the Fagradalsfjall volcano between 2023 and 2025 (yes, those that stopped international flights for a few weeks), this town changed severly. Even though dams were thrown up to protect the town, fissures ripped through it, wrecking homes and taking a life. After this, a fissure errupted within the dams claiming another three homes. Luckily everybody was evacuated by then.

These images on display, as well as the lava rubble that remains, both around and in the town, serve as a stark reminder that nature knows no match. And when she speaks, people can only listen and adapt.

But it also shows the perseverance of humans. Because even though the town had to be evacuated completely, and there is still volcanic activity, life resumes slowly but steadily. Restaurants are open, shops are running, and fishery resumed. The Blue Lagoon resort is operational again, even though lava made it's way into the waters. And the geothermal power plant survived and kept the lights on in the city.

The dams still stand, and so do the people.

Just wanted to take a moment to say what an AMAZING machine this bike is! It really begs you to push further and get the most out of yourself. She will eat up anything you throw at it, yet she is very forgiving if you make a mistake.

Can't wait to put more kilometers on it!

Had all the landscapes, and all the weather. Drove through a cloud, drove on the moon and on mars, saw the rolling hills and the ragged edges. And all that just on the first day.
It's like 7 planets collided and this place was the perfect mashup.
Genuinely the most insane country i have ever been to!
