adventure schedule update!

we’re currently running pack adventure hikes monday, tuesday, wednesday + friday, and starting june 1 we’ll be expanding to monday–friday.

as high season approaches in los angeles, we’re taking a little break from regular beach trips starting june 1 but we’ll be introducing sporadic rosie’s dog beach excursions, so keep an eye out for those!

interested in getting your dog out with us? dm us or fill out the new client form in our bio.

SAM! by @puptogo_la

we are in dog school y’all, and we’re takin’ you with us.

one of the first tools we’re learning about is yielding.

spatial pressure is an aspect of yielding and is the influence your body position, movement, posture, and proximity have on a dog’s behavior. emotional yielding is what happens inside the dog, not just what happens with their body.

think letting go of internal tension instead of simply complying physically. there’s ease! we love ease!

next, we’ll be working on yielding to leash pressure.

we are investing in continuing our education by learning from other women-owned pet care trainers/businesses here in LA ‘cos we truly believe there’s room for everyone at the table. when there’s alignment, investing in people you believe in and sharing knowledge only makes communities stronger!

better late than never eh?

we’re excited to never stop learning, growing, and bringing these tools back to our crew because humans and dogs deserve walks that feel safe, regulated, and peaceful.

up so close, it’s like you can smell these cuties!

listen folks, if you’re thirsty, they’re reallllly thirsty.

this heatwave is no joke but nary you worry! every adventure includes plenty of shade, water breaks, and at least 2L of fresh water on our person. no exceptions!

yes, it’s hot out!! our pup’s safety is always at the center of how we do everything.

our routes prioritize breaks with ample shade structures, trees, water and dirt or grass trails.. we’re not walking dogs on hot concrete!

every hike, we carry 2 liters of water, a large collapsible dog bowl, small-dog carrier, and a large emergency carrier in case anyone needs support getting back safely.

we also pay close attention to each dog’s energy, pace, panting and comfort level. adventures are meant to be enriching, not something pups have to push through. by @puptogo_la

beach trip for ‘merica day was much success!! by @puptogo_la

pup to go is intentionally hyper-local because proximity creates ease.

being rooted in our immediate community means more trust, safety, familiarity, and mutual support, and less time in the car means more time outside with friends!

we wanna know our dogs. we want them to recognize their lil’ friends on the block, understand the rhythms of their days, and build more consistency into their world.

community is ease. community is safety. community is being seen again and again, allowing trust to become the foundation.

for dogs and their people, we believe that kind of care ecosystem to be a necessity! by @puptogo_la

folks, please stop settling for a few quick laps around the block when your pups could be out in the world, moving with friends, following scent trails, and spending enough time outdoors to actually settle into themselves and regulate.

all dogs deserve more than a rushed potty break. they deserve long, unhurried walks with room to explore, decompress, and get into a real rhythm.

the dogs who join us consistently get to build that rhythm and confidence week after week.
