Had the opportunity to cater a gorgeous dinner party on Saturday. The ask was a vegetarian menu and I knew I didn’t want to lean on portobellos which I feel is all too common for vegetarian eaters. So! We started with a pickins board of marinated beans, pickled veggies, homemade butter with radishes. Then it was onto first-of-the-season corn soup, goat cheese stuffed zucchini pancakes, spring vegetable paella with saffron aioli, homemade vanilla ice cream with fresh strawberry compote and lace cookies, blueberry hand pies with fresh vanilla whipped cream, and strawberry jam-filled chocolate truffles. As the only cook and server and dish washer, I’m not great at capturing everything but I tried!! Thank you @mar1458 for the opportunity! ❤️ by @purdygreat

In Andrew’s words: “That was the best weekend of my life!” Andrew packed his trombone for Columbus, OH in prep for what promised to be a fantastic Paul McCartney weekend. The magic was delivered by @paulburtontrombone (Andrew’s mentor and friend who recognized Andrew’s musical interests and mailed him a beginner trombone two and a half years ago), @mikedavistrumpet and @kenjifenton (collectively the @hotcityhorns from the UK). Andrew was overjoyed to be invited to play in a jam session with arguably the most talented horn players on earth before the McCartney show last Saturday. Andrew crushed it! Backstage with the band was a thrill, too. The show was absolutely phenomenal. A beautiful full circle experience. So grateful for our magical weekend with dear friends. We will never forget it! 🇬🇧 🎺 🎷 🎸 by @purdygreat
