I haven’t cried yet, but I’m sure I will tonight. I am so beyond grateful for everyone who made this happen. 128 people were served today in the Savannah community. I thank God for placing this initiative on my heart last year, and I thank him again for my community who helped me make this happen. Each care package came with essential items like pads, tampons, healthy snacks, something sweet, socks, and more! Next year I hope to partner with brands like @always_brand @hanes @fruitoftheloom @starkistcharlie @nutrigrain @tampax @slimjim @dudewipes @summerseve in order to create even more care packages!

When I started my business in 2022, I never imagined it would be like this. And I only plan to expand and get better!

Love y’all - PureNtent 💚✨

To everyone who liked, shared, commented, or donated. YALL made it possible for me to provide 60 care packages and meals to the homeless/needy.

My first event was more than successful! Thank you for all of the support as PureNTENT transitions to a non-profit organization! 🤍 by @pure.ntent

John Lewis // February 21, 1940-July 17, 2020: John Lewis was an American politician and civil rights activist. Born outside of Troy, Alabama recognized early on the unfairness of segregation. He was then inspired by Martin Luther King’s sermons and the Montgomery Bus Boycott. This brought out the fire in John Lewis and led to his activism for the changes that he wanted to see. Lewis played a pivotal role in one the most important events in the history of the American civil rights movement when he led 600 peaceful demonstrators on a march in support of voting rights from Selma to Montgomery, Alabama in 1965.

Meeting John Lewis for the first time at the tender age of 15 had no idea of his impact, but was immediately moved by his words, his journey, and his many accolades.

I remember when I first started therapy, I was told things like “you aren’t old enough to go through anything” and “just pray about it, that’s all you need”. Why is this so common in the Black community, and why is therapy have a negative connotation in so many Black homes?

Tell me about your experiences in the comments or ways we can overcome this within our community!

Look in the mirror as you affirm that you are black, you are beautiful, you are enough, and society does not define you. We come from a line of overcomers, the true definitive of strength and perseverance.
