Sunday reset after a longgggggg, stressful week 🫠

If we’re being honest this has been sitting in my drafts for a while… I was hesitant to post this because my room was a disaster—but honestly, it happens. Being a full-time student, working part-time as a student marketing manager, running a cultural club, and freelancing means my safe space takes the hit. But every Sunday, or any weekend, I like to do a complete reset of my room. Clean room = clear mind (or somewhat LOL)

But first time doing a voice over! hehehehe 🙈

College Hustle: BTS of My Client Shoot as a Beginner Social Media Manager 📸

Here’s a mini BTS footage of what it’s like capturing content for one of the restaurants I social media manage while studying Graphic Design! Having this opportunity, especially while I’m still a student, has been an amazing experience and I get to learn something new every time. The process is SO much fun and it gets even better when I put everything together! Every shoot is a chance to learn, grow, and create something amazing for my clients.✨

My journey has just begun, and I’m loving every step of it!🤍

Although it is a little late… this summer I had the opportunity to work with Sea Restaurant again on designing a banner for their pop up tent at the Laos Festival in Rochester, New York! ☺️✨

Seeing my work being put into use for small + local businesses will always be one of my favorite feelings in the world. It really is the same joy and excitement I had when I was a little kid entering a toy store. I love that I am able to put my own skills to help restaurants with their own needs. I am truly thankful for this opportunity! 🫶

SEOUL DROP FOOD REVIEW! ☀️💛
overall experience: 4.5/5!

I forgot to take pictures of the interior of Seoul Drop but it’d easily get 5 ⭐️! The restaurant has a very cozy and relaxing feel to it, very café vibes. It was clean + the staff are very friendly & welcoming!

STRAWBERRY ADE 🍓
4.5/5 ⭐️
This was definitely one of my favorite items I had from Seoul Drop! The drink was so super refreshing. The ade is carbonated & has strawberry chunks at the bottom. The price is great for the size of the drink & overall it truly is just a really good drink. I genuinely have never had anything like it & would 10/10 recommend. I did end up getting the ice bear which I don’t think added any flavor to the drink but it definitely has a cuteness factor to it. It’s an additional ¢50 to get it and I’d really only get it for aesthetic purposes

SPICY TUNA KIMBAP
4.5 / 5 ⭐️
The kimbap I really liked mainly because of the ratio of rice & filling. They don’t skimp out & make their rolls 80% rice and 20% filling. I WILL SAY THOUGH, the spicy tuna does NOTT play with spice. It was a little too spicy for me [i have a decent spice tolerance] but it still really did taste good. The kimbap was filled with rice, egg, pickled radish, lettuce, carrots and wrapped in seaweed. It came with 10 pieces for $8.2 which I think is a fair price!

Bulgogi Bibimbap
3.5/5 ⭐️
The Bibimbap is definitely not the best in town, but it also isn’t terrible either. For it being only $10.2 and prepared in under 10 minutes you’re paying for what you get. The meat was seasoned well and smelled amazing but some may agree to disagree that the ratio to vegetables to meat is off. Personally I liked it but if you’re not a fan of veggies I’d recommend just getting the rice bowl! Overall was a good dish and the egg tops off the dish well!

TIRIMISU
🥭 5/5 ⭐️
OG: 3/5 ⭐️
🍓: 5/5 ⭐️
Overall the tiramisu I tried were REALLY good, especially the fruit lineups. The mango was my top favorite, and the original was NOT bad I am just not a fan of tiramisu in general. The creams in all of them were the perfect amount of sweetness and they weren’t dry at all! 10/10 would recommend!!!

Little behind the scenes of my latest social media post I made for one of the accounts I run 😋
-
Being a social media manager has been such a journey in finding what I enjoy and how I can combine my enjoyment with my career path. I started off my first year of college majoring in nursing after years of preparing myself for nursing school. I truly believed that nursing was the only path in life to follow to make money and to make stable income. Though it might be true (financial stability), I knew I would rather try harder to make money doing something I love and look forward to do in life. While I give my kudos to all the nursing students and nurses out there, I just knew the profession wasn’t for me after taking many nursing programs throughout high school and even working in the Emergency Department. To this day I learn so much within the graphic design and marketing field that I get more and more excited with what the future holds for me. I encourage everyone to follow their heart and to do what your heart desires. I tried ignoring my passion in the creative fields and forced myself to follow a dream that was mainly driven by the fear of making little money; Just to find myself making a complete 360 back to the arts.

My biggest piece of advice I can give is to do your research and DO NOT let failure scare you! Follow your dreams, passion, or whatever your heart desires and do it with confidence + a clear head. Failure does not mean the end, it is just another obstacle that you are able to overcome. 🫶
