Nestled into the mountainside in Cashiers, North Carolina, this residence is designed to feel deeply connected to its surroundings. Stained vertical wood siding, a cedar shake roof, and warm copper accents will create a natural, enduring character that complements the landscape. Created as a retreat for our clients and their family, the home will be a place to gather around the fire, slow down, and enjoy the beauty of the mountains.

HOME TOUR: This Washington, D.C. residence was thoughtfully reimagined to enhance both the way it lives and how it connects to the outdoors.

Inside, we introduced a new bar area, refreshed the dining room and kitchen, and added new custom built-ins to the living room. Upstairs, existing bedrooms were reconfigured to create new primary closets, while new steel doors by Wellborn & Wright now stream natural light.

On the rear facade, the transformation continues with an expansive new outdoor living experience—including a loggia, pool, terraces, and curved staircase, that collectively create a seamless connection between the indoors and outdoors.

Traditional waterfront architecture is never one-size-fits-all. Each residence we create responds to its landscape, its views, and the family who will live there.

This past week, our team traveled to beautiful Whitefish, Montana, for a client kickoff meeting. We were joined by @campionhrubyla, who will be developing the property’s master site plan.

We loved spending time out West and taking in the incredible Montana landscape. We’re looking forward to returning as this project takes shape!

Remembering our space in last year's Kips Bay Show House! We so look forward to attending opening night this week and seeing everyone's beautiful designs.

Last year, our theme for the 50th New York Kips Bay Show House was "Purple in Bloom." We transformed the stairs into robust blooms that served as an allegory for "aspiration, resilience, and joy - an ode to what blossoms from dedication, creativity, and love."

A modern mountain retreat is taking shape in Hot Springs, Virginia. Perched on a ridge overlooking the Allegheny Mountains, the residence pairs warm stained wood siding with stone and a sleek metal roof, creating an aesthetic that feels naturally at home in its surroundings.

Construction is now underway, and we’re excited to share more as this mountain home comes to life.
