My husband made a flask holder for my Fallout Lone Wanderer costume. It turned out great. Next up is to finish the belt and make a holster for my 10mm. by @purplehayestoo

Completed the shoulder armor today with my husband’s help. Had to modify it slightly to fit right. Got in a couple quick photos before dark. Few more armor pieces to go - bracers (arm) and greaves (leg). Will add a holster for a pistol too. by @purplehayestoo

He’s mad because I reprimanded him again for “helping”. Last night he was attacking the patterns as I was trying to cut them out. Literally pulling on the ends while I was cutting. 🤦‍♀️. Today he wanted to “help” tape them down to the leather. We had words. He jumped on the fridge to pout. Pointedly ignored me when I apologized. Guess I’ll need to break out the treats. Guilt trip via cat. 😹 by @purplehayestoo

This is how it starts. A roll of leather (5-6 Oz double shoulder) and a paper prototype. The shoulder armor pattern is from TonySee Patterns on Etsy, also known as DieselPunk.RO. Printing and assembling a prototype is key to ensuring a proper fit. The first one I printed and assembled didn’t fit right so I had to resize it. I’d rather take the time to make mockups than waste leather on something that doesn’t fit. by @purplehayestoo

C2E2 Photos. Both these cosplayers made their costumes. The detail was incredible! The tiger mask was unbelievable. She was able to open and close the mouth on her mask. Unfortunately she’s not on social media. The other gal 3D printed her costume and added rhinestones after. The detail was incredible. Hoping she finds me on instagram. Love to follow her and know more about her crafting. by @purplehayestoo

Got to meet Svengoolie and the Sven Squad. Will be posting pics from the autograph session, that was a blast! They are all so kind and when you meet them in person. Had a lot of fun at the convention. by @purplehayestoo
