The Walking Dead is one of my favorite shows and I created Penny when I first watched the show. I think I was around 15 or 16 and since then she grew with me and her story changed a little.
I know her relationship with Negan consists of dark and heavy topics. TWD is a show that usually shows the characters at the border of what is ethically okay and what not. Many characters change a lot over the seasons. Rick from season 1 would have never done the decisions from season 7, just like Carol.
Penny went through many difficulties over the story and seasons. There is a reason why she ends up in the Sanctuary with Negan. And even if their relationship starts toxic and maybe stays toxic to a certain point he changes her to the better and she changes him to the better. The characters in TWD aren’t just black and white and that’s what makes it so special in my eyes.
If you don’t like these topics or it triggers you, then please ignore my The Walking Dead posts!
