Hi, I’m Ammara. I used to teach, then I shifted into social media because I loved how the online world works.

Over the years, I’ve managed content, strategy, planning, ads, research and high-volume workflows for nonprofits, e-commerce brands, coaches and creative teams.

If you’re building something of your own and feel stuck with content, planning, or direction, I’ve helped a lot of people through the same stage. You don’t have to do everything alone.

Enough about me, let’s talk about you 🤍

Are you passionate about a particular hobby or subject? Why not turn that passion into a business? Baking, photography, stationery, crafts, anything. People have built careers from smaller starts. With a little creativity, your hobby can grow into a full time venture.

If I can pursue my passion, so can you. The more I learn, the more I enjoy helping women grow their businesses with simple, clear social media strategy.

If you want support with direction, clarity, or content, you’re in the right place.

Tell me what stage you’re at. I’ll help you move forward.

Hi! I'm Ammara Babar. A former teacher who is now a social media manager.

Before starting Purple Shelves, I worked as a teacher. Like any child, I aspired to be a teacher as a child, but I've always been fascinated by computers and the internet. The events that take place online, particularly on social media, as well as the opportunities that exist here, have always piqued my interest. So here I am, managing social media.

Enough said about me are you passionate about a particular hobby or subject? Why not turn that passion into a business? With a little creativity, you can turn your hobby into a full-time business. From pet photography to cake decorating, there's no limit to what you can do.

If I can pursue my passion, so can you 😊

And every single one taught me something different.

Through freelancing and remote jobs I've worked across 27 niches. Each one came with a different audience, different struggles and different content needs.

I've done everything from full social media management to specific services and projects depending on what the work actually demanded.
Every new niche meant learning fast, adapting my strategy, understanding a completely new audience and figuring out what actually works for them.

That kind of range doesn't just make you experienced. It makes you adaptable. Because experience teaches you skills but range teaches you people.

Back in 2023 I lost all 3 clients on the same day. I genuinely thought it was over for me 😭

And honestly that experience taught me that you never really know the real side of anything until you're already in it. Freelancing isn't all glitter. Yes it gives you the freedom but it also has the dry spells, the uncertainty and the days where you genuinely question everything you're doing.
If you're going through something like this right now just know you're not alone and you're not failing. It's just the part only few talk about 💜
