LONG POST ALERT 💖
God is sooo Good!!!

2009: straight out of high school I decided to go straight to college for business management. I lost my dad that year, and one of my closest cousins 🕊. It took such a toll on me, that I slipped into probably the worst depressive state of my life. It’s 2010, I transferred to a different college to pursue a degree in Fashion (if you know me, you know it’s been my passion forever). Well, that year, we lost my sister-in-law (the twins mama). I decided to withdraw from school with the mindset that I’d certainly go back. I knew my family needed me. Before you think this is a regret post, it isn’t. If given a second chance, I wouldn’t deviate an inch.

Fade all the way to 2018, the year I had my beautiful daughter Aivan. I’ll blame postpartum for my sudden desire to go back to school for Accounting and Business Management bc why in hell would I be studying accounting 🤣. Quite honestly I only enrolled to see if I could finish and finish strong. I suppose it was a redemption pact between my past and present self in that moment.

Well, here I am today feeling extremely blessed to have finished as strong as I set out to. I realize that every one of those milestones molded me into my present self.

I say ALL of this to say that no matter what sacrifices you make, or what you experience, there is never a right or wrong time to do something amazing just for you. This was that just for me moment, idk what the future holds but I am glad that I hold even a fragment of my future.
