I had convinced myself I wasn't gonna buy anymore this year. But this one kinda fell in my lap. Father and son owned since new. 96k, and I'm a sucker for a squarebody

When in doubt always look for the giant ball of electrical tape. The only thing I added was a new Battery bus bar and a new jumper to the starter. The rest of that mess was barely soldered or just crazy long for no reason. Now the alternator works and hopefully the radiator fan.

Welcome my new to me Bridgeport, while the old one was trusty. This one is bigger and uses R8 tooling which is leaps better than my ER30 to B&S # 7 rig.

But it didn't show up pretty and ready. I took a few days of scrubbing, scraping and pressure washing. Before painting, stoning and re oiling. Then since it's a 3 phase machine, I designed and printed a mount for the VFD to bolt on the factory switch pad. While having a panel for tactile switches and buttons. I'm really happy how it looks in it's spot and am tempted to refresh the lathe now...

I joked earlier this year about getting another car every month. Welp here is June's. Little things to sort but I'm excited to put some miles on this thing. This car has been in DCI for a long time, Guess it will fit a while longer.

Went to the BBQ ranch cruise in and proceeded to deal with trying to start this thing the whole time. Got a cool parking spot by accident though. Think the master switch took a crap, but thanks to a locals jump pack we made it home. Need to get this back in the shop and sort some things out some more so I can drive this more often. On the other hand the suburban was a peach and needs AC installed.

I was miss this dude like crazy, even three years later. I still find myself calling Rusty by Captain. There will always be a hole that can never be quite filled without him.

I kinda forget I own this thing sometimes, until I get it out. Still little things to wrap up, or fix. But I'm so glad @kraken_kraft picked a better red and @lillys_chop_shop made it look like it should.

Here's your PSA to remember comparison is the thief of joy. I'm constantly envious of other people's cars. Thinking man wouldn't it be cool to have that. When I've got this dang thing. Enjoy what you've got, because out there somewhere is a guy with a cool car thinking yours is cooler.

I set a goal when we started shopping for homes in our 20's that I wanted to own by my 40th birthday. It's a few months late but it made more sense financially. We got to celebrate this last weekend in OC.

I'm not trying to brag, but I'm absolutely proud of us. This was hard work and plenty of lifestyle changes. The only debt I have currently is my running business credit card. In the end we saved almost 90k in interest. Time to start saving for retirement I guess.... Or like Willow exclaimed "time for more cars"! taken in Willow's Tree Farm by @pushingluckog

Vanilla cupcakes with cinnamon apple filling topped with cinnamon cheese icing and some of the left over apples. One day I'll get better at icing I promise...

Willow has requested these for her birthday two years in a row. Must be doing it right.

Picture: Some 12v rocker towers I milled yesterday for ARP studs.

I thought I saw you yesterday, you were in a New Chevy wearing a hat like you used to. You nodded and smiled. It wasn't you, I know that... But the pit in my stomach returned, missing you. I wonder if you would have been proud of the man I've become and how much you'd love my daughter and I cried, driving by myself. The best explanation for grief that I've heard was that it arrives in waves that just get further apart. 13 years later they still show up just as strong and wash over like the last. I still wish I could just sit and talk with my Grandfather. Tell the people you care about that you love them, because the last time will be sooner than you thought.

First engine disassembled this year, figured it was time for another time lapse. Roughly 1.5 hrs. Attempted at getting a better angle on things.

Made it two days into the year before a vehicle purchase...so much for resolutions.
