Companies will pass your debt from company to company until one of them finally gets you to settle! What’s the point of credit repair then? Simple, if your goal is to get your credit in a better place so that you can apply for more credit (mortgage loan, apply for an apartment, new car, etc..., then then the point is that once you repair your credit, it’s good enough to apply for those thing. If a collection comes back later, hey, you have that apt or car or house already. It’s best to not apply for anything while your credit is being repaired no matter how tempting it may be. After your credit is repaired your odds of getting approved are way better than if you applied while your credit is under construction.

Did you know you can also buy a lawnmower and cut your own grass? Even with some clippers you can cut your own hair (I’ve done both by the way 😉.)

Point is, the credit bureaus respond 30 days after they’ve received the initial disputes. That’s one month your waiting to get results (verified l, updated, deleted). If you have that time, patience, and have done the proper research to dispute inaccuracies then good luck to you! There are tons of YouTube videos, books, and online courses to teach you about credit repair. The information is out there! But If you don’t have the time to go through the TRIAL AND ERROR, hire a professional!

When applying for and apartment it’s good to know what’s the required credit score needed to be approved. It’s important to ask which credit report they pull from and if it’s a soft or hard inquiry (usually a hard inquiry). To get your most accurate credit score use Experian. Com. You can always upgrade your membership so that you can access your Equifax and Transunion reports.

Did you know when ever a collection agency calls and say “hi I’m looking for ______” and you reply and say “yes this is he/she” you INSTANTLY JUSY GAVE THAT AGENCY THE RIGHT TO PURSUE YOU FOR THAT DEBT. Whenever you acknowledge that the debt is yours by law your giving them the right to pursue you for it. If you already have spoken to them about the debt you can request a written summary sent to your address on file. Once you do that, from there you can either dispute, request a pay for deletion, or settle on the account.
