Every temple, every artisan, every collaboration, every home, and every person who chose to believe in us has become a part of this journey.

Learning becomes more meaningful when it moves beyond the classroom. 🌿

We were happy to welcome the teachers from Valsad Convent School to our factory, where they experienced firsthand the journey of sacred waste, from temple flowers and discarded materials to thoughtfully crafted products.

From understanding our processes to meeting the women artisans behind every creation, the visit offered a closer look at the people, purpose and effort behind our work.

What if a Ganesh idol immersed after the festival could return to a classroom as a study table?

That’s the idea behind Project HARMONY, where environmental activist Malhar Kalambe and recycling innovator Dr. Binish Desai were part of a larger effort to address the waste created by Plaster of Paris idols after visarjan.

Through Beach Please, immersed idols were collected, while NuoTerra and Pushpam worked on processing the PoP into usable material.
In one documented initiative, 1,000+ kg of PoP was recycled into 300 study tables for an NMMC school - turning festival waste into something children could use every day.

From something immersed in a river to something that helps a child learn.

What if something left behind as waste after Ganpati visarjan could help a child study?

That’s exactly what Malhar and Binish are working towards. By recycling POP idols that would otherwise end up as waste, they’ve created 12+ useful products, including study tables and benches.

So far, they’ve recycled 3,000+ kg of POP and made 760 study tables, helping children from economically weaker families get better support for their studies.

What makes this initiative special is how it brings two important needs together: reducing waste and making education more accessible for children who need it.

Their work shows how a problem that seems difficult to solve can be given a second life, and made useful for someone who truly needs it.

गणपति विसर्जन के बाद जिसे हम कचरा समझकर छोड़ देते हैं, वही किसी बच्चे के सपनों की शुरुआत बन सकता है।

मुंबई में Malhar Kalambe और Dr. Binish Desai की “Visarjan Se Vidhya Tak” जैसी पहल के जरिए विसर्जन के बाद इकट्ठा की गई Plaster of Paris (POP) मूर्तियों को recycle किया जा रहा है। इस recycled material से स्टडी टेबल, बेंच और कई उपयोगी products तैयार किए जाते हैं।

एक परियोजना में करीब 1,500 किलो POP को recycle करके 760 स्टडी टेबल तैयार की गईं, जिन्हें जरूरतमंद स्कूली बच्चों तक पहुंचाया गया।

कचरे से उपयोगी चीज़, और विसर्जन से शिक्षा तक—यही है सच्चे बदलाव की कहानी।

विसर्जन के बाद जिस POP को हम कचरा समझते हैं, उसी से किसी बच्चे की पढ़ाई की मेज बन जाए तो?

मुंबई में Malhar Kalambe और Binish Desai की पहल इसी सोच को हकीकत में बदल रही है।

गणपति विसर्जन के बाद इकट्ठा की गई Plaster of Paris (POP) की मूर्तियों को वैज्ञानिक तरीके से recycle कर उनसे स्टडी टेबल समेत कई उपयोगी उत्पाद तैयार किए जा रहे हैं। एक परियोजना के तहत करीब 1,500 किलो POP से 760 स्टडी टेबल तैयार कर स्कूली बच्चों तक पहुंचाई गईं।

यानी जिस मूर्ति के सामने हमने श्रद्धा से सिर झुकाया, उसका एक नया रूप किसी बच्चे के सपनों का सहारा बन गया।

कचरे से उपयोगी चीज़ तक, और विसर्जन से शिक्षा तक यही तो असली पुनर्चक्रण है।

अब सवाल हमसे है, क्या हमारे शहर में भी विसर्जन के बाद मूर्तियों को कचरा बनने से रोका जा सकता है?
