My name is Patricia Lamar and I was born in Manhattan, New York, and I grew up in Brooklyn.

Life in New York was interesting and sometimes tough but it taught me how to survive and more importantly how to lean and depend on Jesus Christ.

Especially, during difficult times for instance, my inspiration for writing this book the murder of my father during my last year of high school. I wanted to use my poems as a way to encourage people during their time of loss, pain, and hopelessness.

So I hope my words encourages you as it has encourage me to write while experincing turbulent times. #jesus #poetry #poetrycommunity #poetryoftheday #poetrybooks by @pushpassproductionsnow
