PUTM KOG.

“Seconds From Disaster, Vandal Strikes the Busy Hollywood Freeway Center Divider.”

With engines roaring past and headlights cutting through the darkness, the Hollywood Freeway became the stage for one of the year’s most daring graffiti missions. The infamous vandal, known throughout Los Angeles as PUTM KOG, reportedly raced across several lanes of midnight traffic to reach the narrow center divider, a strip of concrete surrounded by speeding vehicles, police patrols and the constant possibility of disaster.

With no safety equipment, no protection and almost no room for error, he raised a spray can and began painting as the city thundered around him.

Yet fear appeared nowhere in the finished work. Every line was controlled, every shadow carefully placed and every burst of color delivered with cold, calculated precision. Even with helicopters and surveillance drones believed to be circling above, PUTM remained long enough to add depth, dimension and a polished 3-D finish to his name.

By the time he disappeared into the Los Angeles night, he had left behind more than a striking freeway display, he had created a dangerous monument to nerve, notoriety and the extreme price of being seen.

For a few unforgettable moments, PUTM KOG risked both his freedom and his life to place his name where the entire city would be forced to look. taken in Los Angeles, California by @putm_kog
