👉🏻 One of the BIGGEST things that’ll help you sink more putts inside of 8-feet is clear and precise FOCUS

(While you’re here, hit ‘Follow’ for easy ways to improve your putting!)

When you practice or warm up with a hole reducer, you automatically dial up your mental focus (without changing anything else!)

On these shorter putts there’s less risk for missing big—the stroke is shorter and there’s less need for precise speed control

Train your mind to commit and focus on a really specific spot on the hole for the ball to fall in, and let your body do the rest by @puttercupgolf

⛳️ Your stroke isn’t broken—but your putting practice probably is

Solid practice should simulate game time pressure and make the real thing feel easier

I designed these training aids to add productive challenge to your practice—simulating pressure, pushing you to focus, and making the real golf hole feel more forgiving

No crutches or focusing too much on your stroke mechanics—just solid practice that actually transfers to the course 👊🏻 by @puttercupgolf

Comment ‘PUTT’ to learn more about the best first putting lessons for golfers who are ready to get better at putting but also want it to be simple

The Protocols were designed with two key truths in mind:

1. Rolling putts is as much if not MORE a mental activity than a physical one—if you think about the right things, you shouldn’t have to practice much or think about your putting stroke

2. There is no one right putting stroke—you can be a great putter with a stroke that feels comfortable and repeatable for you by @puttercupgolf

Struggle with reading putts? 👇🏻👇🏻

Follow these steps:

1️⃣ Break your read into parts

2️⃣ Start from the hole backward

3️⃣ The most break will come at the end

4️⃣ Add a little extra break until you consistently over-read break (most golfers under-read break) by @puttercupgolf

Don’t feel haunted on putts. Whether you’re terrified of leaving it short or burning the edge, there’s a PutterCup training aid that will help you level up what spooks you on the greens ⛳️ by @puttercupgolf

Your stroke isn’t broken — your practice is 😳

Solid practice should simulate game time and prepare you for pressure

Which means quality > quantity

I invented these training aids to offer golfers productive, efficient challenge in their practice, with benefits in seconds, not hours

No obsessing with mechanics or training aids that do the job for you—just solid emphasis on the skills you’ll need on the golf course 👊🏻 by @puttercupgolf

Do you know a golfer who struggles to get their lag putts to tap-in distance?

Share with them 📩

It’s important to know the difference between actual and effective distance on a putt

Most of the time we’ll face some uphill or downhill on a putt

In this case, a 15-feet putt is effectively an 11-foot putt

If you want to learn the advanced methods for using slope, etc. to calculate an effective distance, go for it

I just imagine how short or long I would be if I tried to play the actual distance

Meaning in this case, if I rolled a 15-foot putt, I expect it would end up 3-4 feet past the hole—so I start looking at a spot about 3-4 feet short of the hole as my target

(Before adjusting for side slope which is in the next video!) by @puttercupgolf

Every putt is unique — even the same exact putt can be approached in multiple different ways

Do you want to translate some nerves into a putt with more pace?

Are you happier trying to cozy it up there?

It’s all about what gives you the most focus and confidence by @puttercupgolf

Easy green reading, Part 3 ⬇️

Putts would be so much easier if they were all flat and straight, right?

That’s my goal with green reading—to turn every putt into a flat, straight putt

I take what I’ve learned from Parts 1 and 2 and start to visualize an adjusted distance and direction accounting for uphill, downhill and slide slopes

The outcome is a specific spot I am looking at, where a flat, straight “ghost hole” putt ends up at the real hole by @puttercupgolf

Easy green reading tips, Part 2 ⬇️⬇️

If you want to be elite at lag putting, it really helps to know your distance

While you’re fixing a ball mark, marking your ball, waiting for others, pace off the space between your ball and the hole

Each pace = 3 feet

If you’re like me and you use the length of your back stroke to produce a distance, having a specific number in mind helps with focus

It also helps you picture what success is — anywhere within 10% of your first putt (like 2 feet on a 20 foot putt) by @puttercupgolf
