I didn’t know this…

Ynot dropped a gem on me years back. One of those uh-huh moments that really hit.
Knowing what Hip Hop means changed the way I approach breakin’.

Is it cool to stress about my moves during a competition? Nooooo.

Is it cool to get upset when I lose a battle? Nooooo.

Get mad at my crew if they’re not practicing as hard as me? Nooooooo.

Get caught up in what others think about my style? Naaahhhhh.

It made me realize, it’s always party vibes. And why do we go to parties?
To HAVE FUN!!!

I’m dropping more stories and gems like this inside my Dynamic Foundations Masterclass.
DM me to get on the list and be the first to know when it launches. Let’s build!

The first 20 years of my breakin I couldn’t care less about conditioning my body, eating right, or giving my body the fuel to maximize my breakin. As the years went on, injuries that used to take days to recover started taking weeks. Little injuries would creep up and stop me from training at 100. It’d take me like 2 days just to recover from entering a competition.

For all the breakers out there — take the steps to take care of your body. The #1 thing in breakin is to have fun, and it’s hard to do that if our bodies are hurting. Eat right, rest properly, and take care of your mental health.

If you feel fresh, you’re gonna dance fresh.

Breakin’ is more than just the moves. So many little things are interconnected in hip-hop culture. The more you understand the cultural side of the dance, the deeper you can tap into the essence of breakin’.

Breakers spend years developing their style to stand out from the rest — our fits should be no different. Dress fresh, feel fresh, dance fresh.

The only thing I care about when I break is feeling Freshhhh! Through my study of the dance, I learned not to put breakin’ into categories—footwork needs power, and power needs style. There’s no such thing as a bad bboy or bgirl. Once you’ve earned that title, you’re certified Fresh!

I'm back!!!

I’ve been watching breakin’ from a bit of a distance these past few years, and honestly… it’s been inspiring.
Seeing the new generation push the dance forward, and seeing breakers I used to compete against still killin’ it at a high level.
And shout out to my students for keeping me motivated and connected to the culture.

Knowing moves isn’t the same as understanding breakin’.

When you don’t understand foundation, everything takes longer. You collect moves, but they don’t connect. You train hard, but growth feels random.

I was lucky in my journey.
I met teachers who didn’t just show me what to do — they helped me understand why.
How foundation works. How one idea can turn into many variations.
That understanding saved me years of trial and error.

That’s the solution.

I’ve been working on my master class for a minute now, and I’m happy to say it’s almost ready to launch.
This isn’t about learning more moves.
It’s about learning how to build.

When you truly understand foundation, one move can become a whole style.

Let’s build soon.

Meet Jenni and Sav, the duo behind Nooma Space.

Jenni is a certified hypnotherapist and embodied flow coach. Sav—also known as B-boy Puzzles—is a world champion in breakdancing and a master of movement

As homeschool parents of twins, we struggled to find programs that supported emotional regulation, creativity, and confidence in a fun and meaningful way. So we decided to create them ourselves.

Nooma Space was born out of love, purpose, and a big vision—to help young people thrive from the inside out through movement, art, and self-awareness.

Our mission is to make these programs accessible to all—before school, after school, during school hours, for homeschoolers, camps, Pro-D days, birthdays, and even team-building events.

This is bigger than us. It’s a movement. And we’re just getting started.

We’d love to connect, collaborate, and bring this vision to more families, schools, and communities—locally and globally.

Let’s build something powerful together.
