#recovering #fracture #itsbeenalongroad #saluki It has been a long summer for Arlo. May 9 th he sustained a R distal tibia spiral fracture requiring an IM pin cerclage wires bone plate and screws. This required strict crate rest with only bathroom breaks. August 3 another surgery to remove the pin and wires. After 18 weeks of limited activity we are on the home stretch… it’s been a challenge for us, but Arlo has been the best boy… he’s a very excitable dog at times and it’s hard for him to contain his happiness when greeting his favourite people!! (Stressing his owners out with his excitement) We are so very grateful to the emergency Vet @southwestvethosp the specialist orthopaedic surgeon Dr. Edward Hart at @animalhealthpartners and our local vet @westlorneah we cannot express enough how much your kindness and expertise is appreciated by @pwillie8448
