PURPLE PXTCH RADIO — PPR05 💜

the soundtrack to the last month.

music that inspired the creative house that is purple pxtch.

records i’ve had on repeat, artists that pushed my thinking, and songs that have been stuck in my head. Sounds that helped round off this baking hot summer.

between sleepless nights, new ideas, long days, and putting the finishing touches on all the music in the world of randy B., music has been the constant.

🥇 Gold — “Woodstock 2029” — Droogie Otis, Madlib & Your Old Droog (feat. Wiz Khalifa & J A Y E L E C T R O N I C A)

🥈 Silver — “TELEPATHY LOVE” — BNYX® & Clara La San

🥉 Bronze — “Hood Of Atlanta Freestyle” — Tezzus, diamond & Young Stoner Life**

music from the world around purple pxtch.

what’s been on your rotation this month?

taurus szn. ♉️💜

our first ever purple pxtch event.

what started as an idea to celebrate the birthdays of 4 taurus’ turned into a room full of music, djs, games, conversations, familiar faces and new ones too.

big love to everybody who pulled up, played music, danced, connected, supported, helped out, had a drink, stayed late, or even came through for one minute and brought good energy. it genuinely means a lot.

for a first event in Deptford at @little__yak the vibe was special 💜

this was never supposed to be just a party. it’s about building spaces for creativity, community & consistency.

thank you for helping us start something.

part 2 in summer might have to happen… 👀☀️

@getbenny
@westsidegunn

Caught Benny & West at Boiler Room + Jazz Café earlier this month. Their rap-heavy style stuck with me, but I wanted to hear it with more groove and heavier low end. So I flipped the already cold Jasmine’s with Westside on a dreamy trap bounce and Benny stomping through a dark, distorted switch.

For creative purposes only.

Took the energy from the original and shifted it to something warmer ☀️
Something for the summer, UK influenced for sure.
Leave a comment if you can hear where I used my own voice in the beat.
