CALLING ALL DALLAS SINGERS & MUSICIANS Join the Palestinian Youth Ensemble, Dallas—a cultural and politically rooted musical initiative for Palestinian and Arab youth. The PYE brings together Palestinian and Arab musicians across the diaspora to carry forward our rich tradition of revolutionary music and cultural resistance. Together, we build a cultural front that strengthens our people’s spirit, advances our national struggle, and keeps alive the certainty of liberation and return. We are searching for musicians dedicated to honoring this mandate inherited from past generations. With each song, your tune carries the full spirit of the Palestinian cause: honoring the martyrs of Palestine, affirming Gaza as our compass, lifting the voices of our political prisoners in the Zionist prisons, holding fast to our promise of return, and declaring our unyielding stubbornness as a people who will never bend and remain steadfast in our determination to return. We call on all Palestinian and Arab singers, musicians, and sound engineers eager to contribute to the vitality of our culture. STORIES OF THE NAKBA: For over a century, Palestinians have endured ongoing occupation marked by daily arrests, the continuous expansion of illegal Israeli settlements on their land, and repeated massacres and killing of men, women, and children still an ongoing reality in Gaza and the West Bank. These acts are part of a broader system of military occupation, settler colonialism, and dispossession that has systematically targeted Palestinian life, land, and identity across generations. The period between 1947 and 1949 was the most devastating for Palestinians since the onset of the Zionist project, culminating in what is known as the Nakba (“catastrophe”) May 15th, 1948 that saw millions of Palestinians forcibly displaced from our homeland by Zionist militias and scattered across the wider region and the globe. Between 700,000-1 million Palestinians were driven off their land, with over 400 Palestinian villages ethnically cleansed, their graves and their ruins being the land upon which the Zionist entity was constructed. In this 78th year, we present a short documentary in which we commemorate the injustices of the past with a commitment to action: to continue confronting Zionism, whether in Palestine, the Arab world, the wider region, or the diaspora. All roads lead back to Palestine. Return is our fate and our destiny. by @pymdallas
Midterm elections are tomorrow across the United States. Once they’re over, Trump and Netanyahu are planning to resume their catastrophic war on Iran. Swipe for more on what we can expect after election season ends, and why we must be prepared to mobilize at a moment’s notice. by @pymdallas
