@dutchdesignweek is almost here!

This year, @studio.mo.man.tai presents Reflecting Wildness – Take Time to Watch the Bees, an installation that brings biodiversity into focus through 5,000 handcrafted bees made from leftover mirrored acrylic.

As visitors move through the installation, reflections invite them to consider their own connection to nature. A beautiful example of how materials, creativity and circular design can tell a meaningful story.

We're excited to see Pyrasied acrylic being used in a project that goes beyond aesthetics.

𝘈 𝘴𝘱𝘭𝘢𝘴𝘩 𝘰𝘧 𝘤𝘰𝘭𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘥𝘢𝘳𝘬𝘦𝘳 𝘥𝘢𝘺𝘴!

As the days grow shorter and greyer in the Netherlands, we're looking back at this bright and colourful project at Kromme Rijn College in Utrecht.

Created by artist Esmee Seebregts, the façade artwork features around 430 colourful bricks made from recycled plastic mounted on solid acrylic supplied by Pyrasied. When the sun hits just right, it casts colourful shadows across the bricks, almost like a modern-day stained-glass window.

A playful mix of colour, light and reflections that brings the building to life!

When you look at this luxury retail interior, you see that acrylic is not just a material. We used it to make the space look and feel deeper, to bring in light and to make it feel unique. We achieved this by layering different colours and paying close attention to every detail.
