Last night we were special guests on a panel representing past alumni of the SOAR family!

Thank you to @sk.startup.institute @siitlive for inviting us alongside @karmcollective to speak on our experience as well as @noahwilson_indigenous from @futurpreneur for hosting the panel 🫶

Official opening day at the new space! 🤎

From the beginning of running my own business, one of my biggest goals has been to create a space that feels safe, warm and comfortable.

I started tattooing in an environment where I dealt with abuse and threats almost daily, and that experience shaped the kind of artist, and business owner, I wanted to become.

I wanted Tatts by Chey to feel intentionally different from your average tattoo studio. I want walking through my door to feel like a breath of fresh air, somewhere you can relax, feel comfortable being yourself, and know you’re in a judgment-free space.

There’s still a little work to do before the studio looks exactly how I envision it, but I’m so proud of how far I’ve come and what I’ve built so far.

2026 has been unforgiving, my pals.

Sometimes we need to pause and celebrate the things that keep us going: community, self-care, nourishment, movement, identity, expression, and creativity.

So, I wanted to do a little something to celebrate those things and introduce you to some local folks who are working to make Saskatoon a more welcoming, community-centred, and inclusive place. Together, we whipped up a little community care package for one lucky person. 🌈🌈
