Her portfolio includes Vogue Czechoslovakia, various magazine covers, editorial campaigns, and collaborations with numerous local and international beauty and fashion brands. Tanya has been part of the Art of Collaboration creative team in both 2024 and 2026, and has continued to expand her skills through international education, including completing the Nikki Makeup course and attending an in-person masterclass in the UK. With a career spanning brand strategy, marketing, venture building, and storytelling, Mariken brings a wealth of experience shaping brands, ideas, and ventures across international markets. For Jaipur, she helped shape the positioning and wider narrative behind Heritage in Dialogue, Luxury Redefined, finding the thread that connected the many creative disciplines, people, and brands involved. Not to make every contribution the same but to ensure that every contribution belonged to the same story. WHAT’S YOUR WHY? I wanted to share this journey because so often we have no idea what the person next to us is carrying or the struggles they’ve had to overcome. Through sharing a little of my own story, I hope I can inspire others to share theirs too. And I realised that if I’m going to ask people to be vulnerable in front of my camera, I needed to understand what it feels like to be on the other side of it myself. 🫣 I’m so excited to tell these stories from Motley @motleycrewcrossfit every month to listen, to learn, to be inspired, and hopefully to keep inspiring each other to show up. JAIPUR 🇮🇳 | ART OF COLLABORATION There’s something pretty dope about bringing different creative worlds together and seeing what happens when everyone brings their own flavour to the table. I was grateful to be part of Art of Collaboration in Jaipur, bringing together some amazing brands, creatives and storytellers. We had the opportunity to stay and film at The Leela Palace Jaipur, and honestly, what a vibe. 😮‍💨 The architecture, colours, textures, details and natural light were giving us EVERYTHING. Inkunzi Isematholeni | Thamsanga Mfuphi A self-taught artist born in rural KwaZulu-Natal. Orphaned at a young age, Thamsanga Mfuphi found in art a way to heal, remember, and transform his past. This intimate portrait explores resilience, identity, and the belief that even in the darkest places, we can choose to create light. This film was commissioned by the Edmund Garwe Trust for their fundraising exhibition in Italy, supporting children affected by HIV/AIDS. I feel incredibly fortunate to tell stories of this nature. Every time I do, I’m reminded of our incredible ability to turn pain into magic, to transform what we have been through into something meaningful, beautiful and full of possibility. It’s something I remind myself of every day: our power to overcome, to grow, and to become more than the circumstances we were given. Thamsanga’s story is a beautiful reminder that we don’t choose where we begin… but we can choose what we make of it. ART OF COLLABORATION 2022 - The Paris Chapter - Meet another OG @pz_visualcontent - She is a film director, photographer, and visual content creator. Originally from Colombia, she studied social communication and journalism. Her passion quickly expanded to include photography and film, gaining experience directing short films profiling artists. She achieved considerable experience in film research and the advertising world. After moving to South Africa, Paula worked in advertising as a creative researcher and behind-the-scenes photographer at Velocity Films, for renowned commercial director Keith Rose. She was also a producer/coordinator for Colombian Television Network during the 2010 World Cup. Paula’s strong calling to create and direct impactful projects has led her to work on several personal projects and collaborations in both the photographic and film industries over the past ten years.'
