POSTS STORIES REELS

This is my story.

From the summer going into my sophomore year of high school to where I stand today… basketball has been a part of almost every chapter of my life.

The wins. The losses. The scholarships. The championships. The setbacks. The moments nobody saw. The lessons I had to learn the hard way.

I didn’t know where this game would take me when I first started taking it seriously. I just knew I loved it, and I was willing to work.

Basketball gave me opportunities, introduced me to people, opened doors, humbled me, tested me, and ultimately helped shape the man and coach I am today.

Now I get to pour everything I learned—the good AND the bad—into the next generation.

When I coach a kid, I’m not coaching from something I read in a book. I’m coaching from experience. I’ve been the kid chasing the dream. I’ve been overlooked. I’ve been recruited. I’ve played at the next level. I’ve succeeded. I’ve failed. I’ve had to figure out what came next when the playing stopped.

And somehow, the game brought me right back to where it all started… helping the next kid.

13 slides can’t tell the whole story, but they can show you where I come from.

This is who I am. This is why I coach. This is Q.Brice Training.

And the story is still being written. 🏀🙏🏿 by @q.bricetraining

Always appreciate hearing feedback from the parents who trust me with their kids!

Big thank you to Tom Huber for the kind words and continued support!

I take a lot of pride in what I do, and it’s always been about more than just basketball. Whether a kid is just starting out or has been playing for years, my goal is to challenge them, build their confidence, and help them get better every time they step on the court.

Seeing the growth and knowing the work is making a difference is what it’s all about!

Appreciate you, Tom! by @q.bricetraining

A couple years ago, you had to really be one of those guys to have a highlight tape. Nowadays, everybody has one.

Nothing wrong with showcasing your game, but having highlights and actually being able to play are two different things.

KEEP CLOSE 🟢 OR KEEP YOUR DISTANCE 🔴

Not every coach or trainer is going to help you reach your full potential.

Accountability, honesty, attention to detail, and teaching with purpose all matter.

Parents and athletes, pay attention to who’s really invested in your development. The right coach can make all the difference.

What are some coaching habits that would make you keep a coach close or keep your distance?

Your child doesn’t always need MORE training. They need the RIGHT training.

Getting hundreds of shots up sounds good, but if the same bad habits are being repeated without correction, those reps can actually reinforce the problem.

In this clip, we caught a two-hand shooting habit, corrected it, and immediately started working toward better mechanics.

If your young athlete needs more structure, attention, and actual development, October Academy registration is now open.

12 athletes. That’s it.

Play hard.
Bring energy.
Hustle every possession.
Do the little things that help your team win.

T.J. McConnell is a perfect example. You don’t have to be the biggest, fastest, or most talented player on the floor to make yourself too valuable to take off of it.

Offseason work with Junior Jaybrien Roman.

Getting shots up, tightening up the details, and putting in the reps now that will show up when the season starts.

Playing time isn’t just about how many points you score.

Can you defend? Make the right read? Rebound? Communicate? Take care of the ball? Make your teammates better? Do the little things when the ball isn’t in your hands?

Make yourself so valuable that taking you off the court becomes a hard decision.

Don’t just work on being talented. Work on being needed. by @q.bricetraining

Nothing better than hearing directly from the parents who have been around the program.

Her boys have been training with me for the past three years, so she’s been able to see firsthand how I work and what I try to bring to every session.

I appreciate the continued support and, more importantly, the trust she’s had in me to work with her boys over the years. by @q.bricetraining
