Once again much love & appreciation to @iam_freetodream for inviting out some of our @champsmentoring mentees for the Chicago Bears FREE TO DREAM SUMMIT 2026!

It's events like this that allows different youth from different backgrounds to come together as DREAMERS to share their dreams, goals & visions for the future. By stepping out their comfort zone & connecting with DREAMKEEPERS, they are able to chart a path towards success while building a strong support system around them.

Thank you to @common @chicagobears & @iam_freetodream for an amazing time and inspiring the youth to keep on dreaming!!!

It has been an amazing week!

This past Sunday some of our @champsmentoring mentees were invited out to Soldier Field for Gameday! It was an absolute blast to see Da Bears get the "W" and our young boys have the chance to witness it all in person. Much appreciation to @calebcaresfdn for the tickets & the experience!

Then on Tuesday, our boys also had the opportunity to participate in the Chicago Bears FREE TO DREAM Summit 2026 at Halas Hall Home of the Bears. This event brought together young Dreamers from around Chicago to bring their goals, ideas & visions to the table where they were connected to Dreamkeepers that helped guide them in turning their dreams into actionable steps! This was a once in a lifetime experience and our youth have become better people because of it.

Shoutout to @iam_freetodream & @common for allowing our program to participate and for providing such an unforgettable experience.

Our CHAMPS 13th Annual Kickoff was absolutely incredible! Over 200 families joined us to kick off another year of brotherhood, growth, and mentorship.

Shout out to @wilmasfamousbbq for sponsoring our delicious food! Our parent and student panels, moderated by @cecegirl82 and @marcelgriffinspeaks, brought meaningful conversations to the day. All new and returning mentees also received headshots courtesy of @iamnerdyshoot.

Thank you to every family, mentor, and partner who showed up. Let’s make this year unforgettable!

Chicago come see what CHAMPS is all about! @bbfcenterforthearts

CHAMPS provides weekly mentorship for young black and brown boys ages 12–18, helping them build confidence, develop leadership skills, experience new opportunities, and create a positive pathway for their futures.

Come to our CHAMPS Westside Open House to meet the team, connect with mentors, learn about the program, and see how your man can get involved. Parents will also have a chance to ask questions and learn how CHAMPS supports young men both inside and outside of school.

If you know a young man who could use a strong support system, positive role models, new experiences, and a space where he can grow into the man he wants to become — bring him through!

BBF Center for the Arts
Thursday, October 8, 2026
5:00–7:00 PM
1512 S. Pulaski Rd., Chicago, IL 60623

Come meet us. Come ask questions. Come see what CHAMPS is about.

This summer some of our @champsmentoring mentees & mentors traded the city for the great outdoors at North Star Camp for Boys in Hayward, Wisconsin — and what a week it was!!!

From standing at the top of the climbing wall and facing their fears of heights to soaring through the trees on the zipline, our young men were reminded that some of the biggest victories happen when you step outside your comfort zone.

Canoeing across the open waters of Lake Spider, hiking through the Wisconsin wilderness, swimming, water tubing, campfires & so much more. But this wasn't just a summer camp. It was an opportunity to build confidence, discover new strengths, challenge limitations, and create memories that will last a lifetime.

A HUGE THANK YOU to @camp4allkids @fourstarfellowship and @bamyouthguidance for helping make experiences like this possible for our young men. Your investment in exposure, adventure, mentorship, and opportunity makes a difference.

Year 13 starts with a RESET.

Our brother, Jemal King @9to5millionaire and his family, graciously opened his Chicago Mansion to CHAMPS Mentors, Partners, and Ambassadors for an afternoon of brotherhood, leadership, fellowship, and spiritual renewal.

We were honored to welcome Pastor John Hannah @pastorhannah , who poured into our leaders with a powerful message on building a strong spiritual foundation for mentorship, servant leadership, and living with purpose.

Strong mentors build strong young men.

Strong young men build strong families.

Strong families build strong communities.

This was more than a message. It was a renewed commitment to show up consistently, lead with character, and transform lives.

Year 13 is here. The mission continues.
