I had a wonderful trip out of state with some of my best friends. Soon as we got back, I threw myself into my art. I hope to have some to share soon.

In the meanwhile, you know the drill. I wish I could express the reality of the situation, but I have to be cautious because of our social media overlords.

I drew each one by hand to reflect the uniqueness of each soul put to sleep in those shrouds. For the ones clustered together, I saw them as families. They didn't get to say goodbye. They didn't get to live. They didn't even get a chance.

For those alive now, they still have a chance, and as long as there's a chance, the rest of us have a duty to save them.

Keep speaking up.

Urgent appeal to save my son Zain — Time is running out. I am Zain's mother, and I am writing to you with a heart trembling with fear. My son Zain's health is very poor, and the doctor told me he needs urgent surgery. We cannot wait any longer. We need $500 to cover the costs of the operation, and we must raise this amount within the next few hours so the doctor can perform the surgery. I am not asking for money for anything else… I am asking for a chance to save my child. Every minute that passes without the funds for the operation makes my fear for him greater. I am a mother, and all I want is to see my child well and safe and sound. Please, do not ignore my plea. As most of us look forward to cooler weather and maybe getting to wear sweaters again, many families in the strip continue to struggle, and winter for them means trying to survive harsh weather in a tent or exposed shelter. Wind and rain make an already difficult situation even more unbearable.
