Third Street and West End put on a fantastic Spring Concert! 🎤

The concert featured a wide variety of performances, including full group numbers, small ensembles, rhythm section features, and an exciting finale with both ensembles combined into a 28-member group complete with a double rhythm section!

These groups have grown tremendously throughout the year, and none of this would have been possible without the leadership and dedication of their directors, Quinn Cameron and Natalie Holsey.

Another huge thank you goes to @untrecordingservices for making all of our concerts possible! We could not do what we do without you!! Thanks for making our music come alive!!

Looking forward to another great year of music in the fall! Wishing everyone a fantastic, relaxing, and musical summer!

We’ve had such a fun day with Christie Dashiell! We are so grateful for her willingness to share insight into her journey as an artist and share a bit of her story. It’s been such a joy to have her on campus today. We are so excited to share the stage with her tomorrow night!

Please join us in Voertman Hall for the Jazz Singers and Christie Dashiell Concert at 8pm! If you aren’t able to join in person, there is a livestream available! We will post that link tomorrow!!

Day 4 of tour was a perfect way to end the Jazz Singers Tour! We performed on the Dalton Hall stage at 1pm for everyone and then had the privilege of receiving a clinic from Darmon Meader! Then we got to hear so many fabulous groups throughout the day and ended the evening with the Gold Company and New York Voices concert! So much amazing musicianship was present at WMU and we all felt so inspired!

We have so many thanks to give and want to express our gratitude for the opportunity to tour together!

Thanks for following along!

For the third day of Jazz Singers Tour, we spent the morning at Glenbrook South High School! Their Vocal Jazz performed for us one of the songs in their program for tomorrow’s festival in Michigan! We can’t wait to hear more from them! On top of being great singers, they were such a supportive and wonderful audience!

Headed to Kalamazoo now!

Avenue C had their Spring Concert this past Wednesday! It was such an amazing concert that featured classic pieces like “A Nightingale Sang in Berkeley Square” by Gene Puerling and newer music such as “Last Surprise” arr. @ericladish .

All the musicians did a wonderful job! Huge shout-out to Liz Townsend for all of her direction and leadership over the group! Also, thank you to @untrecordingservices for all your help in making this concert possible!

If you weren’t able to make it or would just love to hear them again, Avenue C has one more performance this coming Friday at noon at The Syndicate! We’d love to see you there!
