Last weekend (4/10/26-4/12/26) my parents and I stayed for two nights at a cabin on the south fork of the Shenandoah river in Luray Virginia. This trip was my mother’s idea to celebrate my birthday! We met an old cat my mom named scruffy Becuse he was very old, rarely opened his eyes and had scruffy orange fur. Scruffy lives outside and loves sleeping, sunbathing, and cuddling. The Shenandoah river was in our backyard and we had access to canoes and kayaks. I talked to some local fishermen who said the water was too cold to catch any bass but I was able to catch 2. I caught 2 smallmouth bass on Saturday afternoon. They were in a hole that dropped from 3 to 9 feet. The first fish I caught was 10 inches and the second fish was 15 inches. I fly fished for a few hours but I was not able to get anything. Thank you so much to my parents for taking me on this weekend trip! taken in Luray, Virginia by @qbefishin

This weekend (11/7-11/9/25) I took a trip to the Elk river with my parents. The trip was for my dad’s birthday and we stayed in the Elk Springs Resort. The first morning my dad and I had a guided fly fishing trip where I caught a small, wild, rainbow trout (Third photo). My father and I then fished more once our guide left and we caught 4 more fish that day. Both my dad and I catching two more fish each. The resort had a resident cat named scampers that was very friendly. On Sunday morning, before we checked out, I was able to catch one more trout using a Clouser minnow I tied! taken in Elk Springs Resort by @qbefishin

Today I went fly fishing on Holmes run in Alexandria Virginia. I caught a bunch of long ear sunfish which put up a great fight on the 4wt. I spotted a few decent “Kentuckys” (spotted bass) and a bunch of large northern hog suckers. taken in Alexandria, Virginia by @qbefishin

On August 17th, I went solo and fly fished the Gallatin river in big sky Montana! I fished in two different spots but in the second spot I managed to catch a nice rainbow trout on a green Caddis Pupa fly. taken in Big Sky, Montana by @qbefishin

Today I went fly fishing on the Madison river in Montana near Bozeman. My family and I went on a 8 hour guided float trip. I caught 4 fish. One white fish and 3 rainbow trout, all were released well and fast. Everyone in my family caught a fish on the fly except @emilyzarno . I would say the fish of the day was my mom catching the only brown trout! The last video is of Phelps lake where we went swimming! by @qbefishin

Recently I was in West Virginia with patch Adams (search him up) building a better society. This large property has a pond Teeming with bass! This post and the one after it are all the bass (minus one) that I caught in the last few days! There is a twenty fish limit on posts from instagram so I have to do 2 posts by @qbefishin

I caught this hog the other day In West Virginia while fishing an ultra light combo and tiny jig head with a Bronze curly tail grub. He put up a great fight! taken in Spring Creek by @qbefishin
