Visiting one of most frequent visited mosque by Malaysian Masjid Haroon Bangkok is always a deeply comforting experience. Tucked away down a quiet alley in the bustling Charoen Krung district, this historic gem feels like a peaceful sanctuary amidst the vibrant chaos of Thailand's capital.

Walking into the compound instantly feels like stepping into a hidden world. Steeped in history dating back to the 19th century, the mosque beautifully blends traditional wooden craftsmanship with classic Islamic architecture. What makes the atmosphere truly surreal, though, is the sight of peacocks casually roaming free around the courtyard. Seeing them stroll past while the community goes about their day adds a beautiful, unexpected layer of serenity to the entire place.

It is easy to see why this spot has become a home away from home for Malaysian travelers. Beyond the unique peace of the courtyard, the narrow alleyways outside are an absolute paradise for food, packed with local stalls serving up authentic halal dishes like fragrant biryani, crispy roti, and perfectly spiced Thai-Muslim fried chicken. A week of profound contrast. On one side, the painful reminder of life’s fragility with the passing of a close family member. On the other side, the stark reality of corporate execution, where unclear requirements and shifting project boundaries challenge a team's alignment and momentum.

Behind every quiet cup of coffee is a mind busy sorting through the noise. This week has tested the boundaries of resilience, balancing a deep personal loss with the complex dynamics of modern project execution.

In the workplace, ambiguity is a silent velocity killer. When project ownership is blurred and requirements lack definition, it is easy for teams to lose their bearings. But much like looking out from the shelter of a roadside kopitiam as the weather turns, you realize you cannot control the storm; you can only control how you anchor yourself.

The noise will eventually settle, and requirements will clear up. But the grace and resilience we show in handling both our personal grief and professional duties is what truly defines our journey.

Life must go on, and so must our commitment to excellence.

Terima kasih kepada semua yang turut serta dalam Projek Trip Jakarta kita kali ini. Dari jelajah kota swasta BSD yang indah; yang mengubah perspektif kita terhadap naratif 'kota gagal' Jakarta; sehinggalah ke acara dan kuliner lokal. Kita sempat menghirup kopi Batavia di Kota Tua sambil menghadap ribuan manusia di bawah; cuba mengenali sejarah dan sebab akibat tata perilaku manusianya yang dibawa tegap ke hari ini.

Sejenak singgah solat di Istiqlal, yang berdiri megah berhadapan Katedral popular; menjadi ikon toleransi yang hidup di Jakarta. Setelah memberi salam rakaat terakhir, kita menoleh pula ke arah Monas, bukti siapnya perjuangan bangsa Indonesia dalam merebut dan mempertahankan kemerdekaan mereka. Hari itu akhirnya ditutup dengan cubaan Nasi Uduk Gondangdia.

Keesokan harinya, kita menyusuri keseluruhan bibit kota merangkumi Sudirman, Blok M, dan sekutunya. Menghitung setiap langkah cepat di CFD, diulamkan dengan lawatan ke setiap daerah kecil yang moden ini, sebelum melabuhkan tirai di Resto Taburai; bukti cinta setia si anak Padang pada ibunya. Pada akhir cerita, berapa banyak lauk di atas meja bukanlah yang utama; ia soal rasa dan percaya.

Rumusannya, terima kasih. Sekiranya ada salah silap harap maaf dan harap maklum semoga di lain hari kita bersua lagi; di lain kota di lain cerita.
