‘Nasi Lemak’ & Ipoh White Coffee Burnt Cheesecake 🤩

Inspired by Malaysian breakfasts, here’s my take on a ‘nasi lemak’ and Ipoh White Coffee burnt cheesecake! The burnt cheesecake itself is white coffee flavoured, and I tried to keep all the ‘nasi lemak’ toppings dessert themed! Chocolate coated silvered almonds as the ‘ikan bilis’, strawberry and blackcurrant jam as the ‘sambal’, and desiccated coconut as the ‘nasi’ - everything that can be eaten with the Ipoh White Coffee burnt cheesecake! Have the cucumber after your slice of cake to cut the ‘jelak-ness’ if any! 😛

You can find my recipe here: https://www.kuali.com/recipe/cook-with-anchor-dairy/nasi-lemak-and-ipoh-white-coffee-burnt-cheesecake/

Let’s get ready to (c)rumble!

The best way to make use of sour apples? Make apple crumble! 🍎 Recipe adapted from the blackberry crumble bars by @sallydells @cupcakejemma because blackberries are expensive here 🥺

nobunny compares to you! 🐰

Happy Mid Autumn Festival! 🥮🏮🌕🎑
i made snow skin mooncakes for the first time this year - in bunny shapes! 🐰 packing them in pretty packaging and gifting them to friends and family over the weekend made me really happy ☺️

love your curves and all your edges, all your perfect imperfections 🤩🧀

Basque burnt cheesecake - the simpler child of lockdown baking (as compared to sourdough) 😛 this got an A+ approval from someone who doesn’t eat cake so I’m really happy! Are you team gooey centre or firm centre?

You’re my main squeeze 🍋💖

This lemon cream pasta was the perfect combination of creamy and tangy, so refreshing for summer (which is 24/7 in Malaysia) ☀️☀️☀️

i’m lack-toast intolerant 🍞!

Back to basics with egg and cheese on homemade sourdough toast - so simple yet so good 😋 Swipe to the end to see my toast do a little sit up 😂 the shape and size of the egg my dad fried fitted perfectly on my toast!

Dough be, or not dough be, that is the question:

Pain au levain v5. Not the prettiest crumb and still no ear 🥲

Oui go together like syrup and French toast 🍯🍞💛

French toast with cloud bananas on a Sunday morning ☁️ the toasts were made from my homemade buttery milk bread and the little cloud bananas are my favourite things on the plate ☺️💕

Mini chocolate chip banana bread loaves that I made a few weeks ago. The perfect portion for me because a slice is always never enough!!
