LAYING THE FOUNDATION ⚡️

High school, College, and professional pitchers⬇️

Growing up throughout my career there were three main pillars that were taught to me when it comes to building yourself not only into the best pitcher you can be but best athlete you can be.

1. Being athletic: Building the motor. Putting the body in the best position physically to produce the biggest power output.

2. Learning the throw : Correcting movement patterns, building arm speed and managing workload. Becoming the best overall thrower you can be.

3. Developing as a pitcher: Designing an arsenal that allows you to compete with confidence and allows you to be yourself.

I offer a program that will help you reach all 3 of these. Throwing, lifting, mobility, and mental game. All programs will be tailored to the specific athlete for your needs to help you reach your goals of playing at the highest level.

MEET THE COACH: Quentin O’Connor

Playing background: I have played across many different levels of baseball. I started my college career at Yakima Valley College, where I had a lot of ups and downs. During my time there I learned so much about myself not only as a player but as a person through all my struggles and successes there. I went and trained at driveline the summer after my sophomore year and that’s when I started to make big changes. I’ve then transferred to Whitworth University where I would say I found myself as player and a person. Throughout my time at Whitworth I picked up a lot on how to develop not only myself but others around me. After my time in college ball, I took a gap year and kept training and eventually earned myself in opportunity to play professionally in the pioneer league (MLB partnered league). I’m still playing and continuing my career today.

Coaching experience:
. Pitching and performance coach at NBP where I specialized in Pitching and weight training.

. Currently the Pitching Coach at Whitworth University

MY MISSION: With Q performance my mission is simple. I want to help athletes become the best version of themselves by giving them a program that is tailored to them and help them reach their goals of playing at the highest level.

Special day for @mason.burkhardt

1 year and 6 months after his last live outing. He finally got to get back on the mound today. Burk had a stress fracture of the olecranon and missed the 2026 season.

Burk took rehab and his return to throw seriously was very open to learning new things. Kid works unbelievably hard excited to see what he does this year ⚡️ by @qperformance45

BE YOU⬇️

Being yourself is one of the main things that will take you the furthest in the game of baseball. Trying to be someone you’re not will kill your career. You gotta be the same person everyday you show up. Whether your high energy guy or a calm guy that switch has to be flipped when you get to work everyday. All the guys you see pitching at the highest level are the best and being themselves and knowing what they are good at. You can’t care what others think of you at the end of the day. Being yourself is going to give you the best chance to play at the highest level ⚡️ by @qperformance45

Keeping the high days high and the low days low

For me, this is one of the biggest things that I picked up throughout my career. You have to keep your low intent days low and you’re high intent days high. If you don’t you are just going to run yourself into the ground and not perform at the highest level.

When it comes to the throwing side, less is more. You have to remember that you only get a certain amount of throws as a pitcher and you want to make those count. The more we throw the more it’s gonna tax the arm. Taking recovery days seriously and keeping volume super low on those days is the key to having more success and hitting the numbers that you want on the high intent days.

Some good ways to keep recovery days fun that I picked up throughout my career. Are things like football catch running routes and throwing the football around just having fun with it. Another way was taking ground balls and just moving the body and letting the arm be loose and be along for the ride. You can also make these days a competition. Have a command competition try to hit as many spots you can without exceeding a certain velocity.🏴‍☠️⚡️ by @qperformance45
