MC : used by my son and using my daughter today. Some people recommend do not use used shoes. Shoes can have memory of person who used them. Memory means the way of walking. Specifically sole. Some particular part is too used and it is not good . It is almost using someone’s Orthopedic insoles. I agree yes. So I took sole and insole , making new last for my daughter and remake them. New last , new insole and new sole. New system to reuse shoes.

Testing shoe models. I’m trying to find out the way to make shoes that actually are made for walking. minimum needs to not limit the movements of feet. I have to put aside some of the shoemaking concepts I have learned, as I am on the path of something new.

Presttting shoe stiffener
It’s tough to work with thick leather . Even it gets quite soft after putting in water,it is challenging to work with it. With some nails and a lot of impact of hummer blow, it gets a shape little by little. No other way, I give time and hummer blow. #hummer #tough #time taken in Ekeberg, Oslo, Norway by @qq_handmade

Shoe stiffener
This is something one does not see from outside. This holds shape of shoes. So it avoids deforming toe and heel .
Some people say that it takes time to change the shape of shoes when one starts wearing new shoes.

Preparation of insoles.
Cutting,sanding,putting in the water,giving a shape: I had to use a lot of string to hold whole insoles. Leather is a material which can give a shape and hold a shape. Cutting last . The moment to take out last from finished boots, last has to have some system. I cut pieces to be able to separate. This is old fashion and very functional.

At the shop with my daughter to get leather to make a pair of huge boots for Tori Wrånes’s sculpture for @labiennale . I bought 2 pieces of leather which @louisvuitton use. Because of 1 or 2 small scars ,they can not use them . So I have very good quality leather for good price. Anyway they are not cheap. I enjoyed working with this quality material. I think the best person to understand this quality is the one who works with.
