There's a difference between obeying God because we've been saved and trying to obey God so that we can be saved.

That's the danger Paul warns against in Galatians. When we begin to trust in our own goodness instead of the finished work of Jesus, we've lost sight of what makes grace so incredible.

Our relationship with God rests on what Christ has done, not what we can do.

The same power that raised Jesus from the dead is at work in you.

Whatever you're walking through today, be encouraged. You're not facing it alone.
God is with you, His Spirit is within you, and His power is greater than anything you're facing.

Rest in that truth today. taken in Quail Springs Baptist Church by @quailspringsbc

Jesus has already done what we could never do for ourselves.

Yet how often do we try to add to His finished work? We attempt to earn what has already been freely given through grace.

In today's message, Pastor Connor reminded us that when we rely on our own efforts to make ourselves right with God, we trade the freedom Christ purchased for the bondage He died to free us from.

“I was glad when they said to me, ‘Let us go to the house of the LORD!’” — Psalm 122:1

There’s nothing quite like being together on Sunday mornings! Worshiping together, hearing from God’s Word, and enjoying time with our church family. We’re grateful for every opportunity to gather, and we love seeing your faces each week! by @quailspringsbc

We can spend our lives trying to be good enough, do enough, and somehow earn God's approval. But that's exactly the kind of bondage Paul addresses in Galatians.

The law reveals our sin, but it was never meant to be the way we earn our place in God's family.

Through faith in Jesus Christ, we are not only forgiven and set free from condemnation. We are welcomed into God's family as His sons and daughters, heirs to His promises.

So why would we keep living as though we have something left to earn?

Our standing before God isn't secured by what we do. It's secured by what Christ has done.

Thank you for being the hands and feet of Jesus, QSBC! 🫶

On Sunday, you showed up in a big way, bringing groceries to help stock our food pantry as we prepare to serve families this holiday season.

Our backgrounds may be different. Our stories may be different. Our circumstances may be different. But none of those things determine our standing before God.

In Christ, we are brought into one family. We belong. Not because of what we’ve accomplished or how well we’ve lived, but because of what Jesus has done for us.

“For in Christ Jesus you are all sons of God, through faith.” Galatians 3:26

What good news. 🙌 by @quailspringsbc

What a Sunday at Quail Springs!

Today, families stood before their church family to dedicate their children to the Lord, we welcomed more than 50 people to Discovering Quail, and we were grateful to hear from Dr. Anthony Jordan as he opened God’s Word with us.

From celebrating families to welcoming new faces, we’re thankful for all God is doing in the life of our church. What a gift to gather together. 🤍 by @quailspringsbc
