Y’all !!! The amount of screams I did today seeing the Play boots worn by the one and only Ziwe 😭🙌🏾 She slays in them for her Showtime Season 2, Episode 11 and for her Coveteur feature!!! 💓😩😭💕
Ziwe embodies what Madamette is all about. She is driven, powerful, playful, doing things on her on terms and so much more! 💓Special thanks to @pspamelashepard for your genius eye and making a dream of mine come true 💕🙌🏾 taken in New York, New York by @quanasia.graham

St. Maarten stole my heart ❤️

What started as a solo birthday trip, an intentional moment to slow down, reflect, and celebrate how far I’ve come… became more than I could have planned. But you know what they say: tell God your plans and He’ll laugh.

I met another woman traveling solo, and while exchanging Instagrams, we discovered we had a mutual friend. We decided to explore the island together and had an absolute ball. A beautiful reminder that even when you travel alone, you’re never truly alone. 🥹🌴✨

Beauty 🥰

Bought this two piece in Cartegena 4 years ago. Love that it was designed by a native.

Loved coming out to the patio every night ✨

We took a ferry over to Anguilla for the day and it was everything.

Vitamin Sea ❤️‍🔥

Love this resort ✨

Music is in my heart so I dance all the time 😭

Haven’t been in a packed club since my early 30s but when in the Caribbean one must indulge. 🤷🏾‍♀️😭

Best Haitian food I’ve had in a while!

😋

The views were serene and the Nia Thomas dress was perfect for the occasion ❤️‍🔥💃🏾✨

Sunset Cruise 🌅 met a woman who has summered in St. Maarten for the last 30 years and I made up my mind that’s finna be me 😭

I cried big tears on this deck. My heart was and still full of gratitude. I’ve carried grief for two years and for the most part I found healthy ways to push through it. Blessed is an understatement.

I plan on buying a summer home here. We go together real baaad 💅🏾

I still can’t get over how we went from being strangers to looking like cousins lol. And we didn’t plan the outfits 💅🏾

On the way to cut a rug! 💃🏾

This was our energy the whole time 😭 taken in St. Maarten, Dutch West Indies, Caribbean by @quanasia.graham

🥳 21 × 2 🥳

A year ago, I chose faith over familiarity. I moved from the city that made me to a new region, embraced a new industry with an amazing company, continued building Madamette + new community and trusted that God was writing a beautiful new chapter.

This past weekend was confirmation. Watching some of my closest friends travel to celebrate me in the city I now call home was the greatest gift. From belly laughs over brunch, tears of joy over dinner, dancing and singing in the streets, challenging workouts and so much more, we had a ball!! I’m so blessed to be surrounded with such incredible women. “The Present Is Us” wasn’t just the theme, it’s the testimony. Here’s to love, favor, and the courage to expand in new territory.

Thanks for all the bday love from those near and far!! I love you!! 💕❤️😘 taken in Baltimore, Maryland by @quanasia.graham

The Prerogative Project by Madamette x Macy’s is bigger than fashion. It’s about the talent that helps shape the industry.

Honored to have the opportunity a second year as a curator in partnership with Macy’s and present, The Black Women In Fashion: Work, Play and Legacy windows exhibition. It’s deeply personal to me. As a lover of fashion, history, and advocate for economic equity, creating this work is about more than aesthetics. It’s about honoring legacy, expanding access, and spotlighting talent that has too often been overlooked.

Each installation reflects my belief that fashion is a powerful cultural language. One that can preserve history, create opportunity, and uplift communities by centering creativity, excellence, and impact.

Stop by the exhibition at Macy’s Herald Square (February 5th-February 28th) 🙌🏾❤️

As we reflect on 100 years of Black history being celebrated in the United States, I am proud to honor the enduring influence of Black women whose voices continue to shape fashion, art, and American culture.

Madamette Prerogative x Macy’s Black History Month 2026 windows exhibition centers on Nina Simone and Eartha Kitt. These two iconic artists music, style, and presence helped shape culture far beyond the stage.

Illustrations by Ashley Buttercup, a dear friend and collaborator, whose work brings their legacy to life through a contemporary visual lens.

Through fashion as storytelling, Madamette is dedicated to honoring women trailblazers from the past and present. Nina Simone and Eartha Kitt creativity, leadership, and purpose left a lasting impact on their community and continue to inspire generations forward. by @quanasia.graham

A night out in Brooklyn with my girls! Big smiles, laughter and catching up, looked like a scene from a romcom. No matter life’s plot twist these ladies are always down and I’m forever thankful (quite a few girlies missing). Some of these relationships are as long as 20+ years. I’m so incredibly blessed! As I embark on to uncharted territory and expand my community, just know you’re the blueprint, baby. 🥰🫶🏾

Wow 🥰 Madamette’s round two with @houseofaama runway! “Folk Grounds” SS26 collection styled by @tiffanistyles

“Inspired by the legend John Henry, as well as the lives of Gilbert and Faye Henry, whose lives are connected to the land and Carolina South inspired a deep exploration into design memory.” - Rebecca Henry and Akua Shabaka

I’m deeply proud Madamette took part in such a remarkable event. A moment that feels especially meaningful given my ancestral ties to the Carolinas. On my maternal grandmother side, our roots trace back to Charleston, South Carolina, where my great-grandfather James Sr., great-grandmother Quincy Mae, and grandmother Rita Mae were part of the Geechee community whose traditions and talents left a lasting imprint.

James Sr. was a masterful chef whose culinary skills carried the depth of coastal Southern heritage. Quincy Mae was both a gifted seamstress and a hairstylist, an artisanship passed through generations with care and intention. Rita Mae, my grandmother, was an educator and collector devoted to cultivating knowledge and pride in her community. Together, they brought their vibrant spirit and generational labor north during the Great Migration, planting roots in Harlem and weaving their legacy into the fabric of a new city.

This show was not just fashion, it’s a reflection of heritage, migration, and the unbroken line of creativity and resilience.

Thank you Rebecca and Akua for trusting in Madamette, always raising the bar and your commitment to highlighting our brilliance and sharing our history. ✨

Xoxo

While shaking my tail feather to a Fatman Scoop DJ mix, I got a call from my friend Ayana. “Bruce and Glen need shoes!” I had just finished sharing my personal and business goals with my friend Leila who I was letting loose with on the dance floor. We spoke our dreams with such conviction and felt so free, not fixated on how things would turn out, because we knew no matter what, we’d be okay.

Of course, I said yes! BruceGlen twins and I go way back to my early days in the industry as a retail leader, fashion stylist, and contributing editor. Back when my styling company was called Madame’s Mirror. They were actually one of the first to call me Madame Q!

That reunion led to Madamette footwear being a part of their 2024 NYFW presentation, their LA Fashion Week runway show, and the Madamette Prerogative x Macy’s Black History Month windows exhibition this past February.

And NOW… we’re here! Our very first footwear collaboration, featuring custom BruceGlen colors and patterns mixed with Madamette signature styles. Stay tuned for some fun behind-the-scenes moments and the release of this special collection! 💕

Thank you Ayana @itsaaries for this magical reunion! taken in #NYFW by @quanasia.graham
