This fella made the rod roar off while I was playing another one in the reeds

Caught on a really subtle mini snowman presentation combined with a heavy drop-off style inline lead setup

@fh_carp thx for picking the rod up👊

Did quite a well session with some larger baits, targeting the bigger known carp of the lake.

I started by pre-baiting 3 spots for 4 days with 24mm boilies. I started feeding quite a wide area with around 2.5kg of boilies and then slowly decreased the size of the area and the amount of bait.

The reason for using 24mm boilies is to minimalise the amount of disturbance by shutting out the smaller carp. This will make the bigger carp feed much more confident.

During the session I fished with 24mm snowmans with a 16mm pink pop up on top. I drilled out a little bit of the bottom boilie and put a piece of cork in it to decrease the weight of the hookbait.

This tactic seemed to work well as the average weight tended to increase.

The common in the first pic is an old one that doesn’t get caught a lot. Also the cats seemed to like the krill boilies.

Hard werken loont.
