Inspired by the layered flat roofs of a Frank Lloyd Wright house in Milwaukee, we decided to apply a similar (but different) look to this mid century guest house. That breeze block wall (from @clayimports is icing on the cake😉 (swipe left for the inspo) by @quarterlab_design_build

Oliver and Marcus are inspecting this newly installed Saltillo tile floor (tile from @clayimports ) at our Tisdale Project. Soon we will have drywall installed and will be ready for custom cabinets from @studio.ql . We’re just in love with this dramatic arched entry into this new dining/kitchen space 💕 #saltillotile #kitchendesign #QuarterLab design build by @quarterlab_design_build

Our Rollingwood Project was all about symmetry. We had several internal meetings about the best tile layout . While the horizontal grout lines were repeating, the vertical ones were not. With careful planning, we were able to create a final product for even the most discerning OCD tendencies. 😊 #bathroomremodel #tilelayout #quarterlabdesignbuild by @quarterlab_design_build

A while back we helped our friends @ngcafeatx refresh their front of house. From a design perspective, we focused on some clever solutions to save on budget. A good example was using the existing freestanding banquettes to create a wall of seating. We modified the existing benches, added some French inspired trim and painted them in a lovely green. What a cozy space for a coffee or their signature bahn mi 😊 Swipe left for a photo with trim but before paint. Photo: @kieranreevesphotography by @quarterlab_design_build

We are super excited about our Sierra Madre Project (currently in the framing stage). This full living unit pool house will have a main roof that will partially shade the pool from the intense afternoon summer heat. This tiny house will have multiple roof planes inspired by Frank Lloyd Wright’s work. Little details like a breeze block screen will make this one fantastic mid century new build 😊 #midcenturyhouse #poolhouse #poolhousedesign #atomicranch #tinyhouse #adu #guesthouse by @quarterlab_design_build

Our River-O Project was one of those new build la that we designed and built in house. The front facade is a mix of wood and board/batten siding in just the right colors. It could be one of our favorite mid century new builds 💕 #midcenturyhouse #midcenturyhome #midcenturyhomes #midcenturymoderndesign #atomicranch #austintexas by @quarterlab_design_build

One of the bedrooms at our river-O Project featured a wall of built in desk cabinetry with quartz countertops from @studio.ql. Lots of windows help flood this room with natural light. It quickly became the favorite spot to work from home. #midcenturyhouse #midcenturyhome #builtindesk #customdesk #homeofficedesign #homeoffice #midcenturyoffice #officedesign by @quarterlab_design_build

Out NG Cafe project was so much fun. We gave this little family run restaurant a much needed makeover. With shades of green we completely transformed the point of sale and dining area for this restaurant. It’s been a few months since we wrapped up and customers keep talking about it 😊 #restaurantdesign #restaurantrenovation #greenrestaurant #vietnameserestaurant #cafedesign #caferenovation by @quarterlab_design_build

We are wrapping up our Werner St Project. This whole house (plus addition) includes this custom cedar covered porch. The summer may be hot but this screened porch will keep you cool like a mint julep and immune from attacking mosquitoes 😊 #homerenovation #homeaddition #almostfinished #cherrywoodaustin #centralaustin #bungalowrenovation #bungalowstyle #summertime #cedarporch #screenedporch by @quarterlab_design_build

Our first restaurant reno went as planned! It’s giving modern French central perk ☕️🥐🍮🍪🥧 @ngcafeatx got a menu and interior upgrade! A delicious and enjoyable visit 💛 #RenderToReal #RestaurantDesign @quarterlab_design_build by @quarterlab_design_build

We’ve been dreaming up this concept for the primary bath at our Burnhill Project. We’ve gone back and fourth on the door stack above the countertop. To add some interest and take up minimal counter space, we will bury most of this cabinet in the wall. Only 4” will be standing proud of the finished wall. Instead of a hard 90 degree corners we’ve opted for radius corners. The thought is to use a single sheet of veneer horizontally so everything is grain matched across our curves and inset doors. We’re excited to see @studio.ql execute the fab and install on this nearly 10ft vanity 😌 #primarybathroom #masterbathroom #bathvanity #bathroomvanityideas #bathroomdesign #bathroomvanity #bathroomdesign by @quarterlab_design_build

This is a preview of our recently completed Wright St Project. This cabinetry was fabricated in rift sawn white oak. Features include dishwasher, fridge, two burner cook top, floating shelves and a folding window to serve drinks and food to an outdoor bar. It’s tiny but effective 💕 Design/Build: @quarterlab_design_build Cabinetry: @studio.ql #poolhouse #poolhousekitchen #poolhousedesign #tinyhouse #tinykitchen #adu #kitchendesign by @quarterlab_design_build
