IMPORTANT UPDATE
We regret to inform the community that Quasar Festival 2023 will need to be postponed, with a goal to bring the vision back for 2024.

Please read the full statement from the founders below:

Dear Quasar Community,
It is with a heavy heart that we are writing today to inform you that we have made the difficult decision to postpone Quasar Festival until 2024. Due to new developments related to the late-stage cancer of a close family member, priorities have shifted as things are looking more and more likely to be very difficult near our planned event dates. Traveling to spend significant time with family over the coming months is going to be necessary, and we have come to realize we simply cannot successfully run Quasar with this going on.

While so many things aligned this year and had everyone super excited to see the event’s return, a number of others did not, adding to the concern of being able to execute the production we envisioned onsite. We were able to put together a fantastic new team to support the project, but with this latest development it's become clear that 2023 is just not meant to be our year.

Our team is still united in the desire to bring this concept to the masses, so we plan to launch our 2024 campaign as things settle on our end to not lose momentum. We are excited to jump into planning the event and taking this time now gives us the advantage of planning something even better for next year.

Your support means the world to us and we were very excited to have you be part of the vision we’re building. We sincerely apologize for any complications this may have caused you. We are providing current ticket holders with the option to roll their tickets over into next year, or receive a full refund - just email engage@quasarfest.com with your order number if you’d like the refund and we will begin processing those over the next couple days. Information on next steps will also be shared shortly via email with more details. Whatever you decide, we hope we’ll get to see you in 2024 ❤️

Central Command would like to invite all those with a competitive spirit to step into the ring for one of this year's series of competitions. We'll open our calls to compete with this announcement of 2023's orbit competition judges and prizes, followed by details for the gloving event next week and the all-prop comp the first week of February.

These competitions are intended to be fun and serve as a motivator to push our Quasar family to develop and hone new skills they can show off in front of a supportive audience. The 2019 competitions were a great time for all and we intend to keep building these up as the event grows.
