TyQuashia’s definition of a helping hand:
A person or group of people who pour into someone during a time of need.

I personally would LOVE to thank every single person who donated clothes, shoes, hygiene products, and sent money. Yesterday will live in my head rent free. The impact we made on the 229 (Albany, GA) community will forever be an accomplishment I’m proud to say I was a part of.

Yes, it started as my idea — but every person who took time out of their day to like, share, comment, donate, send money, and volunteer truly MADE my dream come to life.

To My mom, Isha, Nae, Auntie Reka, Auntie Mica, Quez, Dalia, Jazzy, Ty, Mori, and E-Man… THANK YOU. From the bottom of my heart, you all truly left a mark on someone yesterday.

Dear Albany State University:

Thank you for molding me into the women I am today. These past 4 years have been a roller coaster, from the long night studying or rushing to get an assignment turned in before 11:59 PM. If I could go back in time and redo all 4 years, there isn’t nothing I would change. A piece of my heart will always be apart of this beautiful institution.

To all the wonderful people I have met, thanks for being a supportive friend. For helping me through these past few years because without you guys, my experience here would not have been the same. Thank y’all for always encouraging me to do whatever I set my mind on! & Not allowing me to slack off and put my focus else where. Yall truly are like family to me. Remember, I’m just a phone call away.

With that being said, Albany State, THANK YOU. Thank you for all the tears, anger, frustration, and set backs. You’ve truly have molded me into this BEAUTIFUL YOUNG BLACK EDUCATED WOMEN. The 18 year freshman in me is smiling from ear to ear. I cannot wait to see what God has in store for me.

Oh, to be a helping hand. 🥹

Yesterday, we had another successful giveback to the Albany, GA community. I personally would like to thank every single person who donated, volunteered, and supported my organization. Your support means the world to me. Without it, none of this would have been possible. 🩷

The purpose of giving back to the community is to show others that we see you, we hear you, and we feel for you. Everyone’s struggles are not the same. Some people wake up ungrateful for the little things, while others wake up praying for a decent meal. Never take what you have for granted.

This go-around, the idea came from my mom. This was something she wanted to do for her birthday, and I truly can say she was very happy and thankful for every person who volunteered and donated. 🥹🩷

Me and @prttyplayboi went out looking for boxes for the donated clothes and shoes to go in. Me, Dalia, and Ty didn’t go to sleep until 5 AM and were right back up at 9 AM to start prepping for the giveback. 🤣🥹

Tired, you say? YES! 😂 But that’s what you do for the things you’re passionate about! You show up, you put in the work, and you do it with love. 🙏🏾

Thank you again to everyone who helped make this possible. This is only the beginning. 🥹🩷
