POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Mr. ECSU Quaysan Miles’ vision became a powerful statement of brotherhood, leadership, professionalism and excellence as 200 Viking men showed up for ECSU’s inaugural 100 Men in Suits walk—doubling the original goal!

More than a walk, this was a movement rooted in confidence, accountability and a shared commitment to success. With the support of Chancellor S. Keith Hargrove, university leadership, student leaders, community partners and Macy’s, the event highlighted the importance of investing in the next generation of leaders.

The impact extends beyond one event. Through the Viking Ascent Male Student Success Initiative, ECSU is strengthening its commitment to mentorship, academic achievement, leadership development, student engagement and the overall success of our male students.

The suit is only the beginning. The legacy is what we build together. 👔 💙 🤍

WE ARE THE STANDARD. 👔

The inaugural 100 Men in Suits exceeded expectations, with 200 men in attendance! Thank you to everyone who showed up, suited up, and supported this initiative. This was bigger than a suit—it was about brotherhood, confidence, leadership, and setting a standard for the men who come after us.

My challenge to you: Don’t let this be the last time you put on a suit. Continue to carry yourself with class, walk with confidence, and represent something bigger than yourself.

This is only the beginning. The standard has been set. Now it’s our responsibility to uphold it.

WE ARE THE STANDARD. ❤️

HBCU Kings and Queens carry more than a title. They carry the culture, the history, and the pride of their entire campus every time they step onto the yard. That is why we at Watch The Yard are launching a new series dedicated to introducing you to the leaders wearing the crown this year, continuing with Elizabeth City State University.

Mister Elizabeth City State University Quaysan Miles is a senior Kinesiology major concentrating in Exercise Science from Camden, New Jersey, and a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., initiated in Spring 2025. Alongside him, Miss Elizabeth City State University Temprance Robbs is a senior Social Work major from Shelby, North Carolina, and a soror of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., initiated in Spring 2026. Together, Miles (@quaysan ) and Robbs (@temprancer ) represent Elizabeth City State’s Viking Nation with a shared commitment to service and pride.

Watch The Yard put out an open call to HBCU Kings and Queens across the country and we were able to interview Miles and Robbs about their reign.

One man in a suit turns heads. A hundred men in suits change the culture.

I’m calling on every man at ECSU and surrounding areas.

On October 14, I want to see 100 ECSU men suited up and walking together for the 1st Annual 100 Men in Suits.

This is more than a photo. It’s a statement of what happens when leadership, brotherhood, confidence, and excellence come together. Different backgrounds. Different organizations. Different circles.
