Hiking in Portree the first 2 pictures, the rest was a 2.3 mile hike down a Fairie Pool, where the water's supposed to keep you young and beautiful forever! The last picture is just a part of what we walked down and back! taken in Portree, Isle Of skye by @queen.beekeeper

My Harry Potter excursions in Scotland:
Butter beer with lunch at The Elephant House in Edinburgh

Full café with Potter decor

So many people getting magical pictures and iconic drinks of where J.K. Rowling wrote the stories we love.

The adult version can be made with butterscotch schnapps & cream soda

Chess set

Wands are a must! These wands may not pick you, but there are so many to choose from!

Absolutely great decorations!

Visited Greyfriars Kirkyard Cemetery. Rowling walked through the cemetery for inspiration and found some of the most iconic characters...Professor McGonagal...

...and none other than Tom Riddle!

Then is was off to the Royal mile where we also crossed Victoria Street.

Victoria Street was the inspiration for Diagon Alley.

Creators visited Victoria Street more than once for reference material in building the movie sets.

Then it was off to the Scottish Highlands where we saw the train to Hogwarts!

After getting off the train in Edinburgh, we found a Mexican restaurant- Pax Taqueria. The bartender was chatty, gave us some great local recommendations, and had a funny story about his pigeon tattoo 😆

The magnets were funny and from a horrible restaurant in TX

The dishes were like tapas and we shared some spicy potatoes, cheesy corn, crunchy ox tongue and roasted chicken tacos. It was all very delicious ! taken in Edinburgh, Scotland by @queen.beekeeper

Went on a bus tour through some of Ireland to see the Cliffs of Moher.

#1-3 The Cliffs
#4 The top pic is from the movie from Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince. It's the cave where Harry and Dumbledore go looking for a horcrux. The bottom picture is my pic from today.

- My first of many fish & chips

- Jess got the chicken parm (all of their chicken dishes are made with thighs)

- A little after dinner walk where we passed the "Chinese stairs" (it's what the locals call them 🤷)

- The sunset at 9 o'clock at night

- More local flowers in the backyard by @queen.beekeeper

Lunch at the Riviera in a quaint little town: Chili cheese nachos (a bit spicy and also notes of sweetness), Biscoff and Banana waffles, and a burger w/ slaw & fries taken in Riviera Largs by @queen.beekeeper

Dinner with family: quiche, 🥔, 🥕 and 🥗; followed by caramel tarts with homemade ice cream and 🍓; tea and ☕️ with homemade shortbread cookies (so buttery!), a little UNO Golf, and a short visit to the garden to see berries, currants (photo #7), and lovely flowers 🌹🌸 by @queen.beekeeper
