Part 2 on IG - I had such a wonderful weekend with JQ, for Davidson’s Family Weekend and the kick off of his senior year basketball season at the Red & Black Scrimmage! (I didn’t record any of the actual scrimmage.) 🥰😊 Of course, my support is always on another level, so I rocked a new “JQ shirt” each day! 😍 Thank you to my Sis, owner of Queen Tee Custom Designs, for always staying a step ahead with me! 💯🔥‼️ I danced the night away in the street and I’m sure I’m on a bunch of videos! (JQ brought me a hat as the temp dropped, and went back to doing homework and studying, until I closed the show down! Lol!!)

I waited to post this one until these airplanes cooperated! On the way there… it was delayed, problem with the plane so we had to change planes, etc. On the way back to Indiana, it was delayed again, had to change gates, etc. Thank you Lord for traveling grace and mercy! I made it! And I’m so thankful I’m “off” tomorrow, too! LbVs! by @queen_jjr

Honoring the life of Mrs. Deb, who unexpectedly passed away this week. She’s the Mom of WOCLI/IU alum Lucretia “Lucy” Black and also a dedicated member of the Urban League of Northwest Indiana’s Staff! On Oct. 3rd, Ms. Deb actually honored my Mom in her own event, the inaugural “Gems and Stones” brunch fundraiser. I was already planning to be at my Mom’s award day yesterday for the YWCA award, but of course, I’m really glad I could be there for extra support because it has been a really tough week for my Mom, her staff, and all of us who knew and loved Mrs. Deb. She always had a smile and a hug!! An honorary aunt of my children, always asking about them, supportive, and cheering us all on!! Please consider contributing to her scholarship fund to keep her legacy alive. Additionally, please remember my Mom’s words from her speech last night. “We never know the day nor the hour…. the moment or the second. Make sure we continue to be kind to each other. Be patient… because people have been overwhelmed and stressed. Make sure you take your tolerance pill. Your patience pill. Take ALL your pills!” Sincerest condolences and so much love! by @queen_jjr

Congratulations Mama for receiving the 2026 Women Who Lead Award from the YWCA! You deserve it all!! ❤️ Of course, I immediately and happily become her photographer whenever I’m around! 💯🥰‼️ So glad to be here to love on her, give her my flowers, and let her know I’ve got her back always! I love her more than words can ever express!! Thank you to everyone that came out to support her and show her love, tonight!! I appreciate it!! Much love right back! 😘 As we learned of another unexpected death this week, time just isn’t promised! So happy to see her happiness and smiles!! (All other pictures are on Facebook! 😍🥰😘 I stopped by to see some of my WOCLI ladies at our Service Saturday activity yesterday, which was a Trick or Treat Trail at the RCA Community Park! Of course, we had a positive spin on it and the ladies led them through spells of kindness, brushing their teeth promises, etc, at each stop! (And y’all know y’all love that Gracie’s Corner bop! 😂🔥) Bonus: Seeing a 2015 WOCLI alum Na’Kia and her son! ☺️🤗 Some ladies had already completed their shifts, others were at the Leadership Summit representing us, and a few were at the Hoosiers Outrun Cancer walk. I’m so proud of all of you and can’t wait to see what else y’all accomplish this school year! 💜 by @queen_jjr

This weekend is full of the arts, for the creators and everyone that loves them!! ❤️ I attended my first “big production” play in many years (and it was SOOOO good!!!), a film screening and live performance at the Drive-In (Essence London is incredible), and popped into a few of the Lotus Festival performances. (It was also a Sistas Who Care week!!) Congratulations to all, but especially my framily (friends that became family) for doing and being amazing!!! I was even surprised by a few of the cast members in the play, such as Avery Njau who graduated from Bloomington North! She was one of my track babies that I would always cheer so loud for, and she’s now a college graduate!! I’m so, so, SO proud!! 😍🥰 Anyway, there is still time to check out the “Tomorrow’s Sentry” play!! It is truly a must-see!!! 💯🔥‼️ by @queen_jjr

A few months ago, my classmates asked me to be on our WSH ‘99 committee and then they took steps to make it OFFICIAL-official, with a unanimous decision!! (I said yes, as long as our forever President Tammy remains our President forever! LbVs! 😂💯☺️) With that said, I have pre-sale tickets available for our next gathering for only $10! 🧡💙 Proceeds will go to our annual scholarship and future programming, so buy a ticket from me or one of the other committee members! 2026 Biddle Visionary Award Ceremony - September 23, 2026 - Yesterday, a packed room of people joined together to celebrate me! 🥰 The guest list was limited, so I had to keep it from many of you and I’m so sorry because I know way more of you would have wanted to be there!
