I will no longer be a bystander to this issue.
-
We are witnessing settler colonialism, ethnic cleansing, and a military occupation that has gone long unchecked by the rest of the world. This is happening right under our noses today and has been happening since ‘The Nakba’ of 1948. The Israeli government and its military, the IDF, have committed numerous human rights violations under its apartheid rule and continues to do so today by carrying out unlawful killings, institutional discrimination, and forced displacement.
-
We will not wait any longer while the people and children in Gaza, the West Bank and historical Palestine are being wrongfully jailed, prosecuted, and killed.
-
We are asking international governments to enforce the following demands on Israel:
-
1. Stop the forced expulsion of Palestinians from their homes in Sheikh Jarrah and all Palestinian land including the West Bank and Gaza
-
2. End the illegal occupation and building of settlements on all Arab lands (Gaza, West Bank including East Jerusalem and Golan Heights)
-
3. Remove the illegitimate Israeli checkpoints that are used to dehumanize Palestinians and restrict their fundamental right to movement
-
4. Grant Palestinians in Gaza free access to basic human necessities including water, food, and electricity
-
5. Lift restrictions on imports and exports to/from Palestine and Gaza
-
6. Open access to Jerusalem for Palestinians of all ages to practice their right to freedom of religion
-
7. We demand the Canadian government to immediately stop military aid to Israel
