We often talk about climate change like it belongs to the environment.

But it eventually finds its way to people.

The air we breathe.
The heat we experience.
The roads we use.
The hospitals we depend on.
The communities we live in.

A climate event doesn’t have to happen inside a hospital to affect healthcare. It can disrupt transport, infrastructure, livelihoods, access to care — and put more pressure on systems that are already stretched.

That’s why the climate conversation needs to go beyond “How much are we emitting?”

We also need to ask:

“What does this mean for people?”

Climate data becomes much more powerful when we can connect the numbers to what is happening around us.

And that is the kind of bigger picture we’re thinking about as we build EcoDash360.

Because climate intelligence should help us understand more than emissions. It should help us understand impact.

Africa, we need to wake up!!!

Over the last few weeks, Data Factory Global have been researching climate datasets across Africa — looking at what data is actually available to help us understand our emissions, greenhouse gas status and climate risks.

And honestly, what we found was concerning.

There is data. But across much of the continent, it is often fragmented, difficult to access, inconsistent, or simply not detailed enough to tell the full story.

For a continent facing significant climate and economic challenges, that is a problem.

Because how do we build effective climate strategies when we don’t have enough reliable data to show us where we are?

Africa needs to start building the data infrastructure that will help us understand, measure and respond to our own climate reality.

This is one of the reasons we’re building EcoDash360.

The conversation around Africa’s climate future cannot only be about targets and commitments.

Mama Deesco!!! My baby is 18. 🥹❤️

I’ve started this so many times because I honestly don’t know how to put into words what I’m feeling today.

18 years!!!!

I can remember carrying you. I can remember waiting for you. I remember the day you were born. I remember you at one, two, three… and somehow, I blinked and that little girl is now 18 years old.

Daniella, I’ve watched you grow through so many different seasons. I’ve watched you become strong. I’ve watched you deal with things, adjust, keep going, and somehow still have so much love to give.

You became a big sister. You helped me. You looked out for your brother. There were so many times when it felt like it was just us, and you were always checking that I was okay, checking that your brother was okay, thinking about everyone else.

You have such a beautiful heart, Daniella. You are loving. You are kind. You are generous. You will give your last penny to someone you love. You have a way of making sure everyone around you is okay.

And today, I just want you to know that you are loved ♥️.

You don’t always have to be strong. You don’t always have to hold everything together. You don’t always have to be the one making sure everyone else is fine.

In this new phase of your life, my prayer is that you don’t lose the beautiful heart you have but that you also learn to give yourself that same love and kindness you freely give everyone else.

I’m so grateful God gave me you. So grateful He kept you. So grateful I get to watch you become the woman you are becoming.

And I pray that He continues to keep you, cover you, guide you and hold you close. That He protects your heart, orders your steps and takes you places beyond anything you could imagine.

Daniela, the world has not even seen what is inside you yet.
