Sometimes, the wedding dress doesn’t have to be loud.

Sometimes, it simply needs to fit your beautiful curves perfectly, let your melanin glow, and allow you to be all the dazzling needed. ✨

Simple. Elegant. Effortless.

Pretty in white for the premiere of Mama Deola Wedding Story, and of course, the dress code understood the assignment: Wedding Guest… or should I say Bride? 🤍

But beyond the dress and the glam, tonight is also about celebrating an incredible journey.

Mama Deola Wedding Story is produced by @folagade_banks an incredible content creator and skit maker who has beautifully transitioned into acting and now Executive Producing.

Watching his growth over the years has been nothing short of inspiring. As an upcoming creative myself, his journey is a reminder that we are allowed to evolve, explore different paths, take bigger risks and become more than what people initially knew us for.

Folagade Banks continues to inspire so many upcoming creatives, myself included, and we’re incredibly proud of the growth, the courage and the journey thus far.

@toyin_abraham was to topping for me because she gave the vibe, gave me a kiss and made it worth every penny / time.

The one Sunday I get to dance like David danced. 🥹💃🏽

When I attended CCI for the first time, we were asked what our favourite part of the service was. I didn’t even have to think twice “the praise session and the Word”.

I already knew the music standard was high, but I never imagined that I would become one of the people dancing right in front of everyone. 😂

Because if you know me, you know my very shy self would normally NEVER imagine sharing a moment like this in public. But there’s just something about the music, the atmosphere, and the way the praise pulls you in…

Before you know it, you’re dancing like David danced and forgetting who is watching.

Maybe this is what happens when you find a place where you can truly let go.

I know they say opposites attract, but… hold my glass. 🍸

Opposites may attract, but like minds stick around.

Look at Stan and Blessing, Adesuwa and Banky, Simi and Adekunle, Beyoncé and Jay Z, Priyanka and Nick Jonas, Akin and Kiki, Lateef and Mo Bimps, Toyin and Kolawole. Need I mention more?

And yes, many of these couples are building within the same industry, but that’s not really my point.

My point is finding someone who dreams your dream or dreams theirs with you. Someone who is at a similar level of drive, hunger, ambition, and willingness to push. That kind of alignment can make magic flow.

Because why be a star alone when we can shine as a duo?

Why own a company when we can build an empire as a power couple?

We may not have the same dreams, careers, or even interests. But if our beliefs align, our journeys complement each other, and our destination feels shared, something beautiful happens.

Even the smallest house can feel like a mansion when the person beside you truly understands you.

Because somehow, no one understands a part of you quite like the person who is willing to walk the journey with you.

And that, to me, is the real attraction not being opposites.

It’s being aligned.

PS: Don’t go building with greedy pieces of shit disguised as lovers. 😂

Whether it’s friendship, love, family, or anything in between, having God as an insider makes so much sense. Because these days, even blood doesn’t always seem to be thicker than water anymore.

People can look like family and still compete with you. They can call themselves lovers and secretly be calculating what they can take from you.

So, by all means, build together but build with people whose hearts you can trust, whose intentions are pure, and whose success doesn’t require your downfall.
