She believed she could… so she moo’d. 🐮👑

Happy International Women’s Day (and month) to all my queens out there. ✨

This past weekend we put on our 9th Annual Queenfest at @electriclodge , and this year’s theme was a biting, bawdy, blood pageant. I proudly played Ms. Topsfield (the actual town I grew up in) and moo’d and murdered on stage — all in the name of charity. 🐄 🩸

Words can’t fully express the love and gratitude I have for everyone involved… but I’ll try in my infamous essay captions. 😉

To our unbelievably talented performers — thank you for baring your souls and sharing your art with us, but most importantly your truth and your pain. Our show is hilarious, yes… but it also slaps you in the face with the reality of the state of our world. Thank you for getting loud with us. 🎭🔥

To our generous audience — you laughed, you cried, you donated, you bought sashes, and some of you even got called up on stage. Thank you for going on this journey with us and showing up for the community. And to the many of you who couldn’t attend but still donated — THANK YOU. Because of you, we raised a lot of money for @chirla_org and people who really need it right now. ❤️

To the incredible women who co-produce this with me — I’ll keep doing this show until the day I die. I can’t believe that 9 years later we’re still fighting for our rights, but there’s no one else I’d rather do it with. Shoutout to @rachelriverz for writing and directing another BANGER.

Art creates change. 🖤👑

Will MS. GLASSELL PARK take home the crown? 👑
For @gracynblu, art isn’t just her craft, it is her fight to stay alive. As an artist across multiple genres and mediums, Gracyn Blu (she/they) is a “creative force to be reckoned with.” Born and raised on the East Coast, they left the polished halls of classical music behind in pursuit of their solo project currently coming to life in Los Angeles. Gracyn is ecstatic to be back for their second #Queenfest and strives to make the audience leave a little gayer. taken in Electric Lodge by @queenfestla
