I went back and forth with my flesh about posting this because… just like everyone else…I’m human & there’s a level of vulnerability and humility that comes with showing the world your personal transformation through Christ.

This has been one of the hardest things I’ve ever done in my 22 years of living. I physically, EVERYDAY make the decision to die to self and pick up my cross and walk. Making this video was such an eye opener for me. My testimony is one, only God could have orchestrated and had his hands on! I learned very quickly that I could not do anything in my own might but it was only through HIM all things were made possible!

All my life, I’ve been a social butterfly. I’ve been one to command the attention of a room, been the leader of a team or was seen as the happiest person with the plan but that couldn’t have been more far from the truth. While trying to find my worth in others, I began to conform and look like the world instead of my Heavenly Father. Experiencing depression for the first time was like an uphill battle! BUT GOD.

I’m vocal about my walk with Christ because he has always been vocal about me. Yet still, I lacked for nothing. Yet still, I was protected when out doing God knows what. Yet still, I was favored. Yet still, he used me to minister to others when I couldn’t even minister to myself!

Giving my life to him was the best decision I could have EVER made! Because of him, I have become a new creation in him! In him I have my being! In him, I am saved! I do this for every young girl who looks like me! Who questions if they are worthy enough, who struggles with identity issues, who feels alone, etc! There is a GOD— the ONLY God, who loves you, who is waiting for you to come home!

I owe my life to him because he gave his for me! Freely, he gave me the GIFT of salvation and eternal life. I am forever grateful for having a Heavenly Father who knows me by NAME. I’m the best version of myself because I trust him with ME!

Luke 5 has always been known for Jesus’ famous words: “From now on you will fish for people.” But studying this chapter gave me such a fresh perspective on this moment.

Not only do we see Jesus laying the foundation for discipleship, but we also see His humility in meeting Simon and the other fishermen right where they were—both physically and spiritually.
Jesus stepped into their boat before He ever asked them to follow Him. He met them in what was familiar. Then He told them to go out into the deep. I couldn’t help but think about how it’s often in the deep places—where we no longer have control—that the Holy Spirit is able to lead us in ways we never could ourselves.

Even though Simon was the experienced fisherman, he chose to trust Jesus’ instructions over his own understanding. Because of his obedience, he experienced the overwhelming goodness and abundance of God.

But here’s what stood out to me: the blessing was so great that the boats began to sink. It reminded me that God can entrust us with incredible blessings, but we also have to be prepared to steward what He gives us. Then Simon’s response in Luke 5:8 wasn’t to celebrate the miracle—it was to fall at Jesus’ feet and confess his sin. The miracle revealed his need for a Savior.

And the best part? Jesus was still in the boat. He didn’t leave when Simon became aware of his brokenness. He stayed. From this moment on, Simon would become Peter. When you move beyond yourself, trust God, and surrender to His call, your identity changes. Your desires change. Your life changes.

This revelation blessed me so deeply. Whatever God has called and appointed you to, remember this: Jesus is in the boat. Trust His voice, let the Holy Spirit lead you into the deep, and watch what He can do through your obedience. 🤍
