This badass is officially retired. Kenny Kushner from cadet to Assistant Police Chief—25 years in—and I’d say you had one amazing career, filled with numerous awards and accolades along the way. Long days, heavy nights, and not nearly enough thank-yous. Still, you showed up and did the job with pride and heart. I know without a doubt you’d do it all over again.

Thank you for providing for our family and for being there for us even when work followed you home. Most people have no idea what’s on the other side of a 911 call, but you carried it and kept going.

You’ve helped more people than you’ll ever know and changed lives along the way. I could never do what you did, and I have so much respect for you. Santa Barbara got all you had, and you gave it your best. I’m so damn proud of you. love you. 💙 🇺🇸 taken in Santa Barbara, California by @queenkushner

1,000 CAREER POINTS 🏀 So proud of you, Presley. All the early mornings, late nights, sacrifices, and relentless work you put in when no one was watching. Your dedication, grit, and heart got you here. I love you so much and this is only the beginning!
